Osiris New Dawn: Captain's log #7 - Great finds and the fun begins

If you don't explore you won't find greatness

Day 13 and the start of now day 14 was spent finishing up Habitat 2 which included a variety of other things to be used like the bed and the chemistry table, the latter which allows me to build the Lonsdaleite should I find Organic Sludge somewhere out on my trip or if I make it, no damn idea how to get it.

The bed though means I can pack up the Inflatable Dome to take on my adventures, storing it in the buggy as a backup safety net and for sleeping away from base!

Aliens were lingering around the base from last night which I paid no attention to besides some quick shooting to kill them.

As the base keeps coming along nicely with repairs and being setup for success I get the gas tank sorted to put in some Chlorine, so I have something ready and keeping the barrels empty, for the important things like Hydrogen for the buggy so it can keep being refueled.

Day 15 gets me finding more new discoveries. This time there are Sulfur nodes lying near the Gamma Mine Entrance C which is a bonus. The Sulfur is easy to mine and should be able to find some uses for it later.

The mine on the other hand while fruitful, nothing new here. There are the nice finds of a rifle and pistol, plus more resources but then the tough nodes of Tungsten and Diamond that cannot be mined yet, also the rooms needing the Tier 4 keycard!

Full of the tougher resources to harvest, that is what is inside this mine which includes tungsten and obsidian but more importantly, it has diamond which will require many mining tools or making something that can harvest it better.. an assault rifle comes from traveling further up and finding a crate where it was stored.

The day continued into another night and some looking about before getting back to base, just in time for Day 16 to start.

Best way to start the day is by building the computer station which with the help of all these stored data disks, allows learning how to craft extra items with the best being the Deep Terrain Drill.

I think there will be some more data logs found in the other mine rooms yet to be explored which could include maybe a hangar or other vehicles that could be built but I won't know until I find that damn key.

After making some Cubic Zirconia at the chemistry table and thinking I was going to repair the big rover quite a bit, I end day 16 shooting up some aliens with the assault rifle which was a lot of fun and shows its power.

Day 17 comes around quickly. I make a move all the way to the South East of my location to find a variety of things like a crashed satellite, open desert with rocks and dead giant worm skeletons and... something on the cliff in the near distance looking man made, so this was something I had to check out!

As the dust storm had passed after coming from the other side and onto the cliff, I saw a spaceship lying about and needing repairs, this is something that makes traveling out to explore well worth it. But this will take time to get the required components for the repairs but no doubt going to be great when it is completed.
