The Vaccination Activity: Wellness and Healthy Body To All Children

Today, the vaccination team decided to do a vaccination program that helps the children especially those newly born children to have a healthy body and preventing from any kind of diseases and health problems. This is one of the Department of Health Mission, to keep the people especially the children of being healthy always. I decided to make a visit in one of the Health station here in Barangay Poblacion Manticao, Misamis Oriental. As I arrived in the place, I seen that their are already lots of children and Parents waiting for their turn to be vaccinated. Gladly, there are also lots of health personels who assisted the Mothers of the vaccinated children.

They assisted the Guardians and Parents very well, they gave numbers so that it will be very organized according to the designated numbers they got.

The Barangay Health Station [BHS]:

This is the Barangay Health Station of the Barangay Poblacion. This is the place were the vaccination activities helded. The place is equiped with many metal chairs, informations posted in bulletin boards and an organized place. The people started to arrived bringing their children and others are already listed and got their number. This place is near at the Barangay Hall that is why, some of the personels here are the BHW's or Barangay Health Workers. They have a lot of good contributions in this kind of activities so that the work can easily done in right time.

This is a good opportunities to all residents in Barangay Poblacion because the vaccination is free and it can helps the children away from any diseaes. The BHWs are not only assisting those Parents, they also cuddles the children to make them comfortable. While the Head nurse has not still arrived, they keep listing and numbering those who are already in the place. They make a records especially those first time vaccinated children, this will be very helpful so that they will have records in the health center already and with no hassles.

The first thing they do was to get the Height and weight of the children. This will help so that, it can monitored the status of the children's body specially the weight. It can't really avoided that the children will cry when they cuddled by other people. Next, they get the body temperature and after that they will make a graph using the graphing papers. Next, they will asked the Parents especially the Mothers if what contraceptives they used and what does it feel the time when they used the medicines. Next, they take measure of height and recorded in the vaccination sheets.

The Vaccination Begins:

The vaccination was started, they children was crying because of the vaccination while the BHWs comfort them. The head nurse was gently and carefully injected the vaccine. This is one of the best activities or programs of the Government and in Barangay. Best opportunities to all children to keep them healthy always.

Until now, the vaccination activities continues and as of now, there are already 75 children waiting to be vaccinated. It should take more hours to finished this activities. The health Personels are very happy that the Parents also supported their programs by allowing their children to be vaccinated and they are very thankful of them.
