Ten HSBI and two DUO Token Giveaway Week 26!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. Here it has been unseasonably hot, but that is supposed to be gone in a couple of days and back to normal September weather here in southern California. I can't wait to be honest, but hot spells come with the territory living around here.

Today is my weekly ten HSBI giveaway just like every Sunday. I find it's always nice to give back to the Hive community. So many of you have done so much for me over the last year and a half and it really is greatly appreciated.

Last week I posed the question of what new TV show or movie has been your favorite of this year. Oddly people seemed to find this question rather difficult. I did get some interesting answers and I'll highlight a few of them. One was "Alien: Romulus" which I haven't seen but I've seen so many of the Alien movies over the years I feel like I know what to expect. Maybe it will be better than I anticipate, I hope so!

Another one was "House of the Dragon". Once again something I have yet to see so I can't really comment one this one. It seems to have gotten good ratings so maybe it's worth diving into when I get some free time. It's always fun finding something new to enjoy!

Some others I got were "Deadpool and Wolverine", but only one which surprised me since it has been such a popular movie. It's one I'll be watching once it come out on streaming. Another series mention was "Dark Winds" which sound interesting. It's about mysterious events on the Navajo reservation, and sounds kind of paranormal which I usually enjoy. So I may give it a go, I think I saw the banner for it on Netflix or Amazon, my memory must be slipping since I can't remember where....

Well, onto to today's contest! Being rather warm to day it got me pondering... What is your favorite season? And why?

I've always kind of enjoyed spring and fall personally. Fall is really beautiful in areas where the leaves change colors. The east coast of the US is beautiful this time of year. If it weren't for the cold and snow that soon follows I wouldn't mind living there again!

The Giveaway

It is nice isn't it with the heat resolving and less tourists. Tourists can be a pain if you live somewhere with a lot of attractions or great beaches. There's a reason I don't live too close to Disneyland!

We only have two seasons where I'm from (dry and wet) but if I had more seasons to choose from, I'd probably pick autumn. The leaves look nice.

Dry would be my pick of the two! Living in the Caribbean it was like that, I kind of liked the drier part of the year!

What is your favorite season? And why?

Winter, I definitely love the colder and icier weather! It's a shame that here in Brazil, where I live, there is no chance of snow.

I'm happy to have all four seasons here in Southern Germany but summer is the season I like the most. As I'm really into beachvolleyball I enjoy this season especially in the beginning and at the end. In the middle of summer we had many days being to hot to play 😀

I like Fall (what little we usually have) because it's when our Texas heat subsides and we have several holidays to enjoy with family.

I like Fall because there are things I don't enjoy in the other seasons. Winter is too cold and Summer too hot. Spring there's allergies. That makes Fall better than the rest!

My favorite season is Cajun! I can't get enough and seem to season all my dishes with it. It's a blend of many different herbs and spices and always has plenty of pepper! Highly recommend :D

Hot and spicy is always awesome year round! I love peppers on my pizza too! Cajun flavors are some of my favorite, especially on ribs when the meat is falling of the bone it's so tender. Good stuff!

Woohoo thanks for the DUO tokens and congratulations to all the others.

My favorite season is Fall. The weather is not too hot and not too cold. Just love wearing jeans, sweatshirts and a fall jacket if needed. It's also a time to enjoy the beautiful makeover of nature caused by cooler temps. It's always eye candy to me to see all the different colors of leaves, trees and certain plants.

My favorite time of year is when it rains moderately, that would be the winter season, in Venezuela there is no snow, but it is a little cold during the rainy season. And if it rains it is winter, I love that time, although a lot of cold is not good, that is why I say moderately.

I absolutely and totally LOVE Fall!! I like the change from the hot and humid to the crisp and cool! The smell of wood smoke in the air from the fires people burn in their homes to the campfire pits around. The fact that THERE ARE NO MORE MOSQUITOES!!!!!

I love to see the fall foliage; some people look on fall with a sort of depression, but I see it as a change in season with lovely colors, temperatures, sights (pumpkins-you can NEVER have too many) seasonal treats. This season for me lasts from September all the way through Christmas and this year, I am looking to try to see it in slo-mo rather than the sped up time frame we all seem to be living in. To delight in the smells (cinnamon and cloves) and everything else it encompasses! A time to enjoy to the fullest! That's why fall is my favorite season and I wish it could last forever!

That's easy, spring! It's always been spring for me, also in Holland and later Hungary. In Holland because it's the only season where the temperature can be good or great and usually not too many wet days. People shaking off the winter depression, lol and looking forward to summer..

In Budapest this was the favourite season because honestly, it seemed to last a long time. Although summer could be hot, usually I had an extended feeling of spring there for half of the year, until things got colder and wet, but not as soon as it would in Holland.

Moving back to Spain, we aimed a bit for an area where we'd have a long feeling of spring, not fully based on the temperature but the hours of sun as well as being able to go out in a t shirt, and usually a vest at the most, rather than a winter coat all winter as in Holland is needed. I can honestly say that a big part of the fall as well as winter meets these criteria's here and even though last year I wore my winter coat some more days than the previous winter here, I still had tons of t shirt days or vest tops rather than needed really hot clothes outside.

Perfect for boulevard walks in the evening as well as having a tapa and drink on the terrace. The summer is two months of (mostly) too hot days, so once it's August, I look forward to fall here, although the fall feels like it's spring again to me. Spring it is!

Spring is always a great season. It warms up but most importantly the days are getting more hours of sunlight. It's too bad we can't have long days like that year round!

You have a great place there with everything close by. You can go out and get tapas, even in winter I suppose but you have to wear warm clothes. It's still a bit chilly in Winter there!

Yeah I'd love to have a year-round spring personally!

Oh it's not too chilly to sit outside for tapas most of the time, and otherwise you can just pick one with inside tables instead. The tapas moments will be less from now on though, we definitely have more of these from spring / summer but once school starts again, I'm putting a break to them lol.

The first year here, I bought a winter coat and only needed it two days that winter.. last year it was needed more though and it was used several weeks in a row. Not sure what I prefer, haha.
