My Week in Review on Hive for 8/3/24, Moving Right Along!

Several months ago I started to participate with the Saturday Savers community. My reasoning behind it was that although I had Hive goals they weren't hard or even really set in stone. By joining and participating I now am able to track my progress towards those numbers I'm trying so hard to achieve. I had a great week in the Hive Power category, which has me excited. I've had some progress in my other goals as well.

Let's dive on into the numbers starting with the Hive Power!

Hive Power

Yesterday I surpassed a huge psychological barrier on my way to 5,000 HP, I passed the 4,000 mark last night! I'm currently at 4,001 as of the moment. That's an increase of 137 HP over last week, it was a much better week than I had been expecting. That's about 80% of the way to my goal of 5K HP! Now not only am I confident I will make it to my goal but I am sure to exceed it significantly.

It always feels great to break through that last psychological hurdle to get you even more pumped up to reach your goal!

The best part is I continue to do the growth organically. If I can achieve the goal anyone can with hard work and dedication. I'm not an overly talented writer, quite the opposite as a matter of fact. I hope my success will help inspire some new members to do the same!

DUO

I have to include DUO as it is the token I started recently with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman . If you stake 200 DUO you can receive a daily curation from the @duo-curator on quality posts. As of August 1st dividends have gone live and everyone staking 200 DUO or more receive a daily dividend in the form of liquid Hive. The more you own and stake the higher the dividend you will receive. We have a couple people with over 1,000 staked DUO and are receiving nice dividends on their investment.

Additionally if you stake 500 or more DUO you can send a daily tip of DUO on an interesting post and in return you get the same amount of the tip staked in your account. With DUO it pays to tip! I love tipping others people's quality work, so it's nice having the ability to tip with the DUO token!

Leo

last week I added LEO to the goals for the year, shooting for 1,500 by Jan. 1. I have just over 940 total right now so it's very doable, hopefully just from earning on my posts. I'm hoping to have more that 1K staked on the next LPUD which come up on the 15th to the month! I understand that once you have more than 1K staked you can request two additional curations a month, and curations are always welcome in my book!

PIMP

As I have mentioned in the past PIMP is one of my favorite projects, and I want to reach 50K this year. However, prices surged on me which is making it much less likely that I'll make it short of bringing in funds form outside and I don't want to sell any more BTC. Tips and earnings from posts have been pushing me along still and I have about 26,700 at the moment. Maybe I'll get lucky and catch some good prices later this year!

HSBI

I've already surpassed my goal of 2K HSBI units this year. I didn't set a new goal but I just keep piling them up, I figure you can never have too many HSBI...

I'm up 32 units on the week, and I noticing some better votes as of late which is nice!

Passing the 2K mark wasn't an easy task. For months I was giving out HSBI daily in a re-blog lottery. Eventually it became too much work so I cut back to my current weekly one. I also am a sponsor of Shadow Hunters, Three Tune Tuesday, and #NinetiesFriday in addition to my weekly ten HSBI giveaway. SIM

I continue to hold just over one million SIM. It pays out a daily Hive dividend which is nice. I think you have to hold at least 8K to qualify for it, but don't quote me on that. Check that one for yourselves! It's a nice token to hold and it's fairly inexpensive right now. It is inflationary so you could lose on your capital invested, one risk to keep in mind before buying into it.

PWR

I'm continuing to delegate HP to empo.voter to receive daily PWR tokens. I have some in the liquidity pool and I should put it all in there for the added earnings. I just need to free up some Hive this next week to do it. Eventually PWR will pay out liquid Hive to holders which is what interests me about it.

Other Tokens

No changes here, just continuing to collect EDS, DBOND, and DAB. I'm not actively buying more of these or miners. I like all three projects so I will continue to let them pile up in my wallet!

Silver

Prices have been up and down this week. It briefly pushed above $29 per Troy ounce then pulled back a little. Hopefully we will see a nice push up soon, but the markets all are watching the Fed who may suddenly cut rates. I'm still a big believer in precious metals, they've always had value and always will. Why do you think King Tutankhamun's tomb was full of gold? Because it was valuable and always will be.

This week I'll feature the Mexican Libertad silver round. They are produced by the Mexican government and a great way to invest in silver with a beautiful design.

Right now the 2023's are selling for $35.76 on Apmex.com, really not a bad premium on Libertads at the moment. These used to be fairly inexpensive to pick up but those days are long gone!
