My Week in Review for December 28, 2024

Technically the Saturday Savers club is taking a break this week as we transition into next year. However, just to stay in the habit I decided to put together a progress post just the same. I have really been amazed at just how much more progress I have been able to make just by writing down set goals and reviewing my progress each week. I would highly recommend #saturdaysavers to everyone here on Hive.

Bitcoin has had a bit of a rough week, but is continuing to hold above $94,000. Maybe in the next month we'll see a permanent push above the $100,000 level. Hive has had a pretty good week overall and is sticking around $0.33 the last time I checked. I'm hoping we can stay above $0.30 although above $0.40 would be even nicer. Time will tell, but I'm hoping for the best!

Now time to start into my progress over the last week.

Hive Power

Another good week in my HP category. I started the week with 6,126 HP. I now have 6,227 HP, an increase of 101 HP on the week. This was my primary goal for the year, I wanted to make it to 5,000 HP organically. Not only did I do it, I raised the goal to 6,000 HP organically and once again surpassed it. I have had a lot of support from the Hive community and for that I am very thankful. Otherwise I never could have made it! Thanks everyone!

PIMP

This was my secondary goal on the year to reach 50,000 staked PIMP. It didn't happen due to price increases over the last part of the year. I'm not complaining, because my PIMP is worth more now! I have 33,262 staked at the moment, so I'll have to push this goal into next year. It's a great token and I think it has a bright future.

Leo

LEO was a late in the year addition to my list. I wanted to reach 1,500 staked by years end, and met that goal. I then raised it to 2,000 staked on the year and beat that goal. I currently have just over 2,200 LEO, I would call that a pretty good end of year result on this goal. Now time to ponder next year's goal...

HSBI

I had a goal to reach 2,000 HSBI units this year, and I went above and beyond on this one. I now have 3,349 total units of HSBI, it was amazing how fast they piled up once I started trying.

I'm up 30 units on the week, not too shabby in my book. I'm pondering my goals for next year, and I might not make a new fixed goal on this one. I'm happy where I am now and if I build some more even better. I'll decide over the next week or so on this one.

I'm sure you've all read my story before here. I had eleven HSBI units last year and decided to start increasing those because they offer curations on your daily posts. The way it works is you sponsor another person with one Hive and they receive one HSBI unit, and you in return also receive one. It's one of those situations that it does pay to give out to others.

SIM

I still am holding just over one million of these tokens and continue to receive some daily from the dCity game. I'm still planning on upping my stack to two million next year. Every day these pay out liquid Hive once you hold a certain quantity of them. I would check their site for the exact number, my memory isn't quite what it once was...

You can also place these in a liquidity pool and receive even more rewards, and as a bonus you continue to receive your daily liquid Hive as if it were sitting in your wallet. Two for one on this one!

DUO

It's time again for me to shill my favorite token of them all, the DUO token which I helped create. Several months ago along with @bitcoinman and @bulliontools we created the DUO token to help fill voids in the Hive community. The purpose of the token is to accumulate enough Hive Power to be able to use a portion to support new onboards and help retain them through encouragement and with curations. We currently have more than 35,728 HP in the curation account, and are already onboarding and actively searching for new Hive members that want to grow their accounts here in the community.

Our new guest author program is allowing Hive members to earn by posting original content on the duo-curator account. Please see our latest duo-curator posts for rules and information on how to participate. You can receive half of the earnings from the post plus five DUO tokens and if you want we can even pay you out in DUO tokens to build your personal stash.

DUO token holders receive by far the greatest benefits. Once you have 200 staked tokens you can receive a daily curation on your quality posts and receive daily liquid Hive dividends. Once you stake more than 500 DUO you also can use the DUO tip call to tip someone with some DUO, and in return you get the same amount of DUO in your account. It pays to tip others with DUO!

I currently have over 1,200 of these and will be continuing to purchase them. Once this tranche of tokens sells out the price will jump from one Hive to 1.5 Hive each. My advice is to buy in early while they are less expensive! Plus you will make money as soon as this batch sells out due to the price increase! All Hive from token purchases is locked into Hive Power and will never be powered down.

Other Tokens

EDSI now has fully replaced it's predecessor EDS, and the EDSM and EDSMM are producing EDSI. Delegations are also paid out in EDSI. It was great to see just how fast the problem was fixed, kudos to @silverstackeruk !

I'm continuing to stake my DBOND and DAB with each producing more of the other. I'll just continue to let them build slowly over time. In a few years they should have piled up quite nicely and I expect their values may slowly increase as well.

Silver

It's been a little rough in the silver world this week. Prices are down less that a dollar than last week's post, but I still anticipate some sizable gains in the near future. It's used heavily in industries from film making to electronics in addition to jewelry and coins. Precious metals will always have value, that's the best part about them. They also are a great hedge against inflation which has been bad the last few years just about everywhere!
