Today we woke up with our plans made, we were going to kill a pig that we had been fattening for months. The truth is that my boyfriend and my sister-in-law were in charge of butchering the pig because I don't usually stick my hand in these cases. I only put my hand in the meat after it is well cooked, but not in the process of taking the life of an animal... I was babysitting my sister-in-law's daughter and I was in charge of the cleaning. Meanwhile, they went back and forth looking for the things needed to cut the pork and then cook a good portion for everyone.

Hoy despertamos con los planes hechos, íbamos a matar un puerco que teníamos meses engordando. La verdad es que eran mi novio y mi cuñada los encargados de matar al cerdo porque yo no suelo meter la mano en estos casos. Sólo me dedico a meter la mano en la carne después que este bien cocida, pero no en el proceso de quitarle la vida a un animal… Yo estuve de niñera cuidando a la hija de mi cuñada y me encargué de la limpieza. Mientras, ellos iban de aquí para allá y de allá para acá buscando las cosas que se necesitaban para cortar el cerdo y luego cocinar una buena porción para todos.
