A man is always overlooked!

A reality that frequently goes unspoken or retold resides in the silent recesses of our hearts, behind the surface of our fortitude and resiliency. Men have had their own struggle in the realm of existence in every corner of the globe, across cultures and throughout generations. Behind societal conventions and gender expectations, males have problems that need to be recognized and appreciated. Let's let the suppressed feelings to come out into the open.

It begins in the morning:

Imagine a young boy with wide-open eyes full of amazement and sky-high dreams. But he is taught that strength is his currency from the minute he takes his first steps. They claim, "Boys don't cry," as if crying were a sign of vulnerability. He consequently learns to suppress his emotions and hide his anxieties behind a façade of stoicism. What happens to those unshed tears, though? They build up inside his heart like unsaid echoes, waiting for the day when he can finally let them out.

It continues while growing up:

The rigors of life weigh heavier and heavier on him as he gets older. The outside world tells him he must be successful, provide for himself, and triumph. He so works nonstop in pursuit of goals that occasionally seem as far away as stars. The burden of supporting his family is an invisible rope that gets tighter every day. He carries the aspirations of earlier generations, and the weight of their demands threatens to crush him. However, he secretly longs for a brief reprieve, a time when he can remove this thick armor and take a breath.

Even friendships develop into a delicate dance of suppressed emotions. He yearns for friendships where laughter and tears coexist and where being vulnerable is not seen as a sign of frailty but rather as a sign of trust. However, unstated rules embedded in society scripts dictate that men must be tough and unyielding. The outcome? His spirit is covered in a loneliness that is like a mist, hiding the connections he so deeply wants.

The inner artist, philosopher keeps fighting:

His mind turns into a battlefield in the stillness of the night, when everyone is asleep and the stars hang in the sky like lanterns. His constant companions, anxiety and uncertainty, whisper doubts and anxieties that could undermine his confidence. But even when it is visible on a gloomy night, the idea of getting assistance fades into obscurity due to internal storms.

Various parts of the world follow various routes depending on cultural expectations and conventions. In one area, he must defend his family from peril; in another, he is a provider who must live up to societal expectations for success. In the midst of all of this, his dreams frequently suffer sacrifice at the altar of obligation. His inner artist, philosopher, and adventurer are still imprisoned and long for a chance to breathe freely.

He never gives up:

But a symphony of strength continues to play in the midst of these battles. Men develop the ability to rewrite their narratives and free themselves from limiting beliefs. A transformation happens gradually. Friendships develop into true relationships as conversations about mental health become healing forums and dreams that were previously suppressed find a way back to the light.

The struggle of men in this globe is a shared history that links us all; it is not one individual's story. It's a story about blazing new trails, shunning stereotypes, and having the courage to show vulnerability in public. Please remember that when you read me, these issues exist even though they are not discussed. Similar to how men's souls are painted by their hopes and dreams, their lives are woven together by them.

So let's read these words with hearts open to the symphony of emotions woven into each sentence and eyes that see beyond the obvious. Because these tales of adversity reveal the universal truths that weakness is strength, reaching out to others is a brave act, and realizing one's authentic self is a path worth going on.
