Este fin de semana estuve atendiendo un pedido de maxi-lazos, ¿la curiosidad?, todos estan hechos con tela reciclada de viejos uniformes de una amiga doctora ('• ω • `) ♡

Siempre es lindo darle una segunda oportunidad a las cosas en lugar de tirarlas a la basura, especialmente si se trata de tela de buena calidad.

This weekend I was attending to an order of maxi bows, the curiosity? they are all made with recycled fabric from old uniforms of a doctor friend ('• ω • `) ♡

It's always nice to give things a second chance instead of throwing them away, especially if it's good quality fabric.

✦ The fabric used to make these uniforms is highly durable and retains its beautiful colors even with frequent laundering ✦

✦ From the top of one of the uniforms, I was able to extract enough material to make 3 accessories ✦

✦ To achieve this armed result, I resorted to the always reliable "apply iron at high temperature" ✦

✦ It took me a whole day to make all these loops. When you are working with recycled fabric, you have to think very carefully about which direction to cut the fabric in order to get the rectangles with the right dimensions ✦

✦ The truth is that it can take a long time to decide how you are going to cut the fabric, it is the most difficult part of the process, sewing them is another story, that takes a few minutes ✦

✦ They are very, very beautiful! I made them late at night and I was very tired; I didn't have time to do a proper photo shoot because the next morning my client had to take them to work for a person who was going on a trip ✦

✦ Later that day, a very nice neighbor, who always helps me with materials for my handicrafts, gave me a small batch of fabric scraps ✦

✦ To thank her for being so kind to me, I took some of the fabric she gave me and sewed this bow as a gift ✦

✦ I really had a very productive weekend but also a very relaxing one, I finished season 6 of "The Crown"! ✦

_{✦ Today I feel full of energy and it was a great Monday. Later tonight I want to start a tote bag project with soft and fuzzy blanket fabric! ✦}

I hope everyone is having a nice month of October, I am very happy fulfilling many different sewing projects 🐑 🧶

Wow they are so pretty. You sewed them inside out and turned them? They are three layers right? From the last one which is the biggest to to the two bows on top. And there’s a clip at the back. I’m definitely making these soon.

That's right, honey! The principle of these bows is to make small rectangular pillowcases of different sizes and then flip them over, you got it! I'm currently using 8cm French clips, they work great for both people with very straight hair and people with a lot of wavy hair; it's always a pleasure to read you beautiful! Thank you so much! 🩷 🩷 🩷

I thought I'm the only that finds it hard to let go of leftovers of quality materials, but now have found a partner in crime, lol😁
