Saturday Shootout led to Sunday deStress

Do you ever have a what the actual fuck moment?

Well picture this, me last night going into the bedroom to draw the curtains...

Yes that is the scene that I saw.

My first thought, that's a bloody bullet hole!

So I go outside to have a look and investigate further...

Yep yours truly is snapping these with his phone.

With some trepidation, I went into the sitting room to get Mrs T.

The one good thing is that the windows are double glazed and only the outer window was broken.

So I am pretty sure if it was a pellet from an airgun it would have at least marked or cracked the inner pane.

The glazier will be coming tomorrow so will see if I can find anything in between the two panes.

The strange thing is that on Friday night a policewoman and a policeman were coming round the houses looking for some bloke.

A coincidence?

I think not, it has been a long time since I was shot at, and it would be the first time in Europe. As there is no Coup going on in the UK I think it was just a flying stone from a car or lorry speeding over one that sent it flying through our window!

Anyway, today we needed some groceries.

So to calm my nerves, Mrs T suggested we go to the in-store cafe.

So we did order a couple of coffees...

The coffee is quite nice, although the ten year old non native English speaking barrista did not know what an Americano was, which is what the cashier had rang out the white coffee as.

The Brits amongst you might recognise the name on the saucer ... Morrisons...

So we were there in the morning before going shopping. Mrs T fancied a bacon roll.

But while we were at the counter, we saw a sign saying 500 more points if you order a full or ultimate breakfast.

Well we have the Morrison's loyalty card, but I have no idea what 500 points is worth...

Well fluff it, Mrs T says this will save my shaky hands from cooking today!

This is called the Ultimate Breakfast for £6.99 and was one heck of a bargain. I do love black pudding and it is rare to get Tattie Scones and Fried Bread, so my shattered nerves were suitably repaired.

So we, well, I await the glazier and see if we can see anything other than glass in the window space between the two panes.

What a surprise finding a bullet hole in your home. Glad you had a the opportunity to relax over breakfast. Is it true that black pudding is made with pig's blood?

Black pudding is now made with blood powder, it did used to be made with cow's or pig's blood yes. The hole was a shock and hopefully was just a stone.

That seriously sucks, glass is expensive to repair! At least it was someone actively shooting at you, that's never a fun situation. But it looks like you had some great food to destress on your Sunday!

What the actual fvck indeed, what if it's a bullet that crack that OMG! I had a lot of WTF moments but all of them is not that frightening, lol, only just a little bit, lol. Going outside is the best thing to do to divert your attention. Good food in a stressful situation is the answer. So what's up with that hole now? That question was for later ehe.

Yes I am sure it is, was a wee bit freaky especially as the landlord goes wtf that looks like a bullet hole. No glazier yet, oh yes that was the only meal yesterday plus a bowl of cereal and banana at dinner time!

Ooft - I'd be spooked by a broken window like that too. Nice way to calm the nerves though - cooked breakfast - cant beat it (apart from the arteries damage !).
