Fun Fridays
Post any story, poem, meme, video, picture, etc. that is fun. Ideally, show or tell us about something fun that’s happened to you this week! It would be a fun way to start off the weekend on a high note and reflect on the positive aspects of the preceding week. Once again, it’s also absolutely ok to repost content that you shared elsewhere on Hive.
Simply make sure to title the post with “Fun Fridays” in the title.
But enough of that...
I did have a fun friday!
I shall tell you for why!
Crypto pundits.
You may or may not have heard that this week was the deadline for The US SEC to approve or reject spot Bitcoin ETFs.
Well on Tuesday a post on X from the SEC said approval was given.
This was a hoax or infiltration of the SEC account...
But on Wedensday they did give the go ahead late in the day.
On Thursday Bitcoin went up a wee bit and so did the vast majority of Alt coins...
Even out beloved Hive got up off it's arse and joined in the fun.
Twitter or X as it now (yes I often relapse into calling it Twitter) was awash with all the armchair crypto pundits proclaiming they will be picking up the keys of their new car quitting jobs and this is it. This is the start of the bull run that will see the Bitcoin price reach a million dollars by the end of the year!
Then
Those green figures turned to red!
Oh no, has the bubble burst?
It is just the crypto children behaving like they do.
It is also in my mind proof of the saying ...
Buy on the Rumor, Sell on the News
Many people think this is a crypto saying.
I say that is absolute bumkum!
It is actually from a chapter in a book!

Is the first photo generated from AI? I love it and I'm exploring it as well for creative photos but sometimes I find it weird. Anyway, I believe this year the bull season will happen but maybe for a shorter period only, well, I don't know how the crypto cycle works.
That was an anti climax with the red candles instead of green 😅.
I hope the positive effects of the ETF-approval will be far bigger in the medium- to longterm as this event should made it into the history books of crypto.
But thank you for this nice summary of the moment. Seems I need a X Account for keeping up with the time - unbelievable! Twitter (x). Thought I am still too young for this 🤣
