REJECTION || THE UNSEEN POWER BEHIND REJECTION
Rejection can come in any form and from anyone. It could be from friends, family, employer to employee, or any medium.
Meanwhile, the way one person handles rejection will be different from how the other party handles it.
But first, allow me to define what rejection mean, and I will use the simple definition from the Cambridge dictionary. "Rejection is the act of refusing to accept, use, or believe someone or something."
From the definition, I can regard it as a way of being seen as useless. Of course, when people don't see a reason for using something or associating with someone, it's a sign of 'no use.'
I have been in a situation where I've tried to explain myself to my mum or even tried pouring out my mind to her, but she never understood; my opinion or idea doesn't matter to her.
I have been in a gathering of friends where all I got was feeling like an outcast. I even got betrayed by some.
Let me tell you, being at the receiving end of rejection can lead to emotional and psychological damage.
I was depressed, I felt low in spirit, and I lost interest in most things.
The experience wasn't a palatable one for me as it caged me back into my shell.
I never knew there was more to it until I started to unveil the secret behind why people will not want me.
Of course, I found an answer.
I realized that rejection is/should not be a death sentence. It should be a call to reflect and discover yourself.
Some rejections are meant to open your eyes to what true friends are and separate you from bad ones, while some are meant to catapult you into becoming the best version of yourself.
Honestly, I understand how challenging it might be when faced with rejection.
But do you know you could manage your rejection and bring something positive from it? Yes! You can.
All your life, you might have thought you are the problem with why people keep rejecting you, but if you can look deep beyond yourself, you will realize a force is pushing you to become better than you were.
It cannot always be your fault that you are facing rejection, but you need to know that it is a part of life that we can't completely erase.
Meanwhile, you can play your part by handling it to shape your life and write out a good story from it.
You only need to discover the power behind the rejection; then, you will be proud of the decision you take next.
Thank you for reading through my rant, but I hope you got value.
