Nimona || Definitely Worth The Title

Does age matter when it comes to watching animations? Who wouldn't love an animation that's action filled and has no boring scene? I laughed, punched the air and got emotional while watching this one, so I decided to share it with fellow lovers of animation.

Plot( No spoiler. Actually, I hate spoilers especially when it has to do with something interesting so I often don't do it)

Nothing is as bad as holding the sword that murders the monarch.

Nimona is about knights in shining armors, monster(s), the segregation between nobility and commonality.
It's sad how the commoner, when lifted to nobility, is seen as incompetent and unworthy despite proving beyond doubt that he or she is capable of the position being handed to them. This was the case of the protagonist, Ballister who was set up on his coronation day as knight to murder the Queen.

Fun part is when he meets his self acclaimed sidekick, Nimona. She is a round character and lets the viewer in on everything surrounding her life from her history, thoughts, emotions and personality traits. As a round character, she's prone to weaknesses which is when she's being tagged a "monster" when all she's been trying to do is fit in with the rest of the people. Lest I forget, she's a shape-shifter with a good sense of humor. She does shape-shifting better than Maui. Hehehehe

She plays Ballister's sidekick effectively, ensuring his innocence is proven in the alleged crime. She also helps exposes the culprit who framed him for plotting against the Queen, whom he was entrusted to protect.

My Rating:

I thoroughly enjoyed the animation, as it excelled in various aspects. The animation quality was top-notch, the storyline captivated me, characters were well-developed, and the soundtrack complemented the scenes perfectly. Overall, a fantastic experience. This one is solely recommended for its engaging storyline and stunning quality.

PS: Nimona was initially released on 14th June, 2023 and is rated 18. I guess it's rated 18 because of the scenes where Ballister's arm gets chopped off, explosions, stabbing and sword fights.
