Mastering The Art of Home Solutions

In the realm of home solutions, a common dillema arises; should one embrace the minimalist approach with just the essentials or opt for a well stocked home ready for any occasion? Well I came to the conclusion a long time ago that I'd rather have the essentials in my home and hire a chef who'd come with their dish wares whenever I have to host a large gathering, of course with an estimate of guests I'd be hosting submitted to them beforehand.

According to survey,my survey actually, a thousand and one GenZ's, would rather have dishwares for a number of ten people than have a large number stored somewhere because of the idea that it'd come in handy in the day of unexpected visitors or ceremony. If I ever want to have dish wares stored somewhere, not the everyday go-to's, it'd be because I love them and want to have them and not because they're there to be used for any occasion of large gatherings. Why I wouldn't want to have enough dish wares to host any occasion is simple; I hate doing dishes even if it means piling them up in the dishwasher. I prefer rinsing out two to three plates from the sink, wipe them dry and go my way.

I'd rather sweep twelve rooms and unhang cobwebs than do a pile of dishes. Cleaning and organizing becomes a breeze when with fewer items to manage and I love keeping it that way. My circle is pretty small already and I don't see that changing even in ten years, neither am I a party freak who'd always want to host parties that'd require lots of people eating and leaving dishes in my sink at the end of the day. I made my decision the night I did lots of dishes after my grandma's memorial ceremony. I did dishes till my hands turned pale and it was very upsetting as the visitors kept eating and piling plates. Even when it felt like I was almost done, my sister would walk in with another pile, drop them, grin and walk away. Well, I made my decision to never make my child or anyone else go through such unpaid labor.

Inasmuch as I'm a dish lover, I want just enough for myself. Enough that makes me happy, enough for my satisfaction and enough for my peace of mind.

If I ever have to host anything big, once in a blue obviouslyI'd rather pay for the service of a chef who'd use their wares to serve and at the end of the day pack up their belongings and leave without getting me involved. I don't care how much it'd cost, but as long as my standards and principles aren't infringed upon, it's a yes!

This way, the pros and cons of home solutions when it comes to dish wares, have been sorted. No large gatherings except it's very important and it must be budgeted for before time. Any surprise visit of more than I can handle will be awkwardly received and my response to the situation will be duly passed.

Haha, I experienced this. So annoying and upsetting indeed. In my country its a tradition to host a fiesta celebration and have many guests invited to eat at home. It was laborious and tiresome. But can't do away with tradition. So hiring a catering service at events like this is so beneficial.

Since it's tradition in your country to have people over, is it okay to hire a catering service? I mean won't the people murmur that you didn't cook the food yourself? Or as long as there's food to eat then everyone is fine?

Yes is ok as long as there is food to serve. Though its more pricey when you hire a catering service.

This is one of the biggest reason why I don't have a lot of them, I hardly have friends over and even when I do it's never more than two at a time. So it's a waste of space to keep something I know I won't ever get to use.

Doing the dishes is one of my least favorite chores 🙈 I do it because I have to. A friend once told me that washing dishes is more relaxing 😅

I think most of us who do it actually do it because of this same reason as yours. Hahahaha. I also know someone who loves doing dishes but I know they're very few in the world. Lol
