Wind Breaker: RUGBY SP

Sports is among if not my most favorite genre when it comes to anime and/or manga, so this week's Wild Plot Wednesday is something I really look forward to joining.

Here's my short plot for the anime which I titled Wind Breaker: Rugby SP.

NOTE: Photos are all screenshots from the manga and edited using Photoscape.

At a school dedicated to building strength and safeguarding the community of Makochi, there's one activity that everyone looks forward to with excitement: the Furin High School Rugby Tournament. This thrilling sport empowers players to showcase their strength, agility, and strategic prowess as they compete fiercely against their opponents. It’s an event that truly embodies the spirit of their school!

Each class selects 15 students to compete against other classes within their grade during the preliminaries. The winners from each grade will then engage in an exciting three-way match with the champions from other grade levels.

For those living around Furin High School, the rugby scene is well-established and widely recognized. Students aiming to enroll in the school often participate in rugby or learn its essential rules and techniques during their middle school years. Nirei, despite his smaller and lighter build, has confidently engaged in tackling opponents and honing his skills on the field.

However, this doesn't apply to Sakura. As a newcomer at Furin High and in the town, he has set his sights on becoming the best. Nonetheless, he has momentarily overlooked the significance of playing rugby. To truly excel at Furin, it takes more than just being strong in combat; it requires the ability to lead your team to victory in rugby, and Sakura is ready to embrace that challenge.

Umemiya Hajime, the current top of Furin High and the leading fly-half in high school rugby, is making waves on the field. Following the intra-school tournament, the best players at each level are chosen to represent their teams in the National Rugby Tournament, where they will compete against other top high school rugby teams.

Sakura is about to face a compelling challenge as he enters the world of a sport he knows nothing about. Will he rise to the occasion and discover ways to conquer this obstacle on his own, or will he embrace the support of others to reach the top? Don’t miss the excitement... watch "Wind Breaker: RUGBY SP" to find out!

I hope you all enjoyed the plot! But really, I want more Rugby anime... There are some Rugby manga with great potential like Rugby Rumble and Beast Children, though the latter was unfortunately too short or maybe discontinued. T_T I should read Full Drum manga soon. :)

Thanks for reading and see you around!

What I like about sports anime is that you learn a lot about them, even if the sport in question is not of interest to me hehe

I think Sakura will do very well, he is insecure, but he is brave and strong.

Thank you for sharing this interesting plot. Greetings!

Sakura is really an admirable character. I feel like a parent looking at him as he try to get to know himself and the world better.

You're welcome and I'm glad you like it! 😎✨😁
