What's on My 2025 Anime To-Watch List (so far)

I suppose most if not all anime fans are familiar with the MyAnimeList website. One of my otaku friends introduced this site to me around 15 years ago. I used to have an account, but I could no longer find it. So, I created a new one two years ago. I still need to organize my list because there were tons of anime I've watched in the past that I still haven't listed.

Anyway, I want to share some screenshots of the 2025 animated movies and series that are already on my list. I may add more next year.

✩ Winter 2025 - Series ✩

  • Dr. Stone: Science Future: It's the first installment of Dr. Stone's final season! I have already read the manga, but this arc is also really exciting! <3

  • Medalist: I chose it because it seems interesting and it's sports! hahaha

✩ Winter 2025 - Movies ✩

  • Mononoke: Hinezumi: I just watched the first installment of this movie earlier this month, so knowing that there's a continuation made me excited.

  • Shinran: Jinsei no Mokuteki: I find this interesting since I'm into Japanese culture and history. Another good thing is that it's set in the Heian period which is my favorite era in Japan.

✩ Spring 2025 - Series ✩

  • Wind Breaker S2: I just re-read and caught up with the latest chapter of the manga recently, so I'm really looking forward to watching this. I miss Sakura and the gang... and I guess the fight with Keel and the collab with Roppo-Ichiza will be included in this season. <3

✩ Spring 2025 - Movie ✩

  • Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Movie: Taboo Night Kisses: I don't know exactly, but I'm hoping that it's a concert movie starring Quartet Night. The previous Uta-Pri Kingdom movie was such an amazing concert movie, so I hope this one is the same. <3 I like Quartet Night's songs and Ranmaru is my bias! I wonder if Starish would guest in their concert. hahaha

I haven't selected any movie or series for summer 2025, so it's still to be updated.

✩ Later in 2025 (plus possible release in 2025) - Series ✩

On this list, there are mostly sequels to the anime series that I'm following.

  • Boku no Hero Academia: Final Season
  • Boukyaku Battery S2
  • Dia no Ace Act II: Zoku-hen
  • Jigokuraku S2
  • Mairimashita! Iruma-kun S4
  • Sk8 S2

Among them, I'm most excited to watch Dia no Ace Act II: Zoku-hen. I recently rewatched the prequel and I'm aware of the upcoming matches since I also read the manga. It's going to be amazing.

I'm thinking of rewatching HeroAca from the beginning before watching the final season. I haven't watched the prequel yet, so maybe I'll just binge-watch everything once the final season is completed. :)

The only anime that isn't a sequel to a previous series I've watched on this list is another historical Japanese anime called Shabake. I find it interesting not only because it's related to Japanese history, but my favorite Japanese singer Tegoshi Yuya starred in a drama based on the same novel. I wasn't able to watch it, but it would be awesome to see the animated version.

✩ Later in 2025 (plus possible release in 2025) - Movies ✩

These two movies don't have a specific release date, yet. However, I'd surely watch them. Of course, I love Haikyuu! and I just can't miss this movie... and as for Tsurubamiiro no Nagiko-tachi, it's also another historical Japanese anime. I'm learning a lot of information from anime and my students, so it's really fun. It's a great topic for conversation in some of my classes as well.

There aren't a lot on my list yet, but they'll surely grow in the coming days. hahah I just hope I'll have enough free time to watch all of them.

Thanks for reading and see you around! (^^,)/

hello... I haven't read you for a while, besides I was out of the platform.

I've seen many of the sequels that you have to see in 2025 are the ones I want to see, of the movies for now I have nothing, although possibly the one of kimetsu no yaiba, but that goes into the sequel of the series.

I have seen the MyAnimeList website for a long time, but it has never been relevant for me, a friend of mine uses it and talks about how the ranking is going, which I don't pay much attention to, because sometimes they overvalue some and undervalue others, in that global top.

Heyyyy! It's been a while indeed.
Which ones on my list are you watching?

I don't really check the rankings on MAL. I just use it to keep track of the anime I'm watching and to check the list of anime every season to find stuff that catches my attention.

Anyway, welcome back!!! 😁😎✨

Yaaaay! I'm glad you enjoyed it! The latest movie was awesome... I want to watch it again! :D

I used to watch Fire Force, but I didn't finish the second season since I watched it while it was still ongoing. I'll need to binge-watch from season one soon.

My pleasure! :D

The animes that I'm looking forward to in 2025 are mostly the new ones, but woahhh the final season of MHA? I'll definitely look forward to it. Most of the people said that the manga ended bad, but honestly, it's a good ending, tho not that great as they mostly (I guess) expected. Also, I'm excited to see adult hero class 1-A animated, so yep! I'm really looking forward to it...and, ohhhhhh Jigokuraku?! I've finished its manga but haven't watched yet its anime because I wanted to binge-watch it once its finished, but I think it wouldn't be so bad if I'd try watching its adaptation na hehehe...

Hello imouto-chan! ^^

That's the only manga I got really patient with... Never checked it, but I may do so after watching the completed anime. :)

The anime was good... I started reading the manga after finishing the first season, but I stopped for now. :) Will resume next time. hahaha

Hey there also, nee-chan!~♡

Yep, Jigokuraku's manga was definitely fire! I really like how fast-paced it was, leaving me no time to feel bored. Now I'm torn if I'm gonna watch it or if I'll wait for its whole manga to be adapted into anime, then I'll binge watch it. But the latter seems the thing that I'll really do lol...

Hello there; good to see you after a while. I love your anime watchlist for next year! I guess I’ll have to create my own. Among the titles you’ve shared, I’m especially excited for Jigokuraku and Dr. Stone.

Well, I’ve spent more time reading mangas this year, but I’m most interested in the anime adaptations of The Beginning After the End and Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint. for the year 2025.

Thanks for sharing!
