An Extra Special Weekend: Happy 13th Birthday, Godwyn! (^^,)/

Last Friday, my cousins Nicole and Godwyn together with my aunt came to our place. It's the first time we gathered together this year. Though Godwyn and my aunt came here last month, we haven't spent time with Nicole since Christmas of last year.

These two are very dear to me. Nicole is ten years younger while Godwyn is about 20 years younger than I am. Despite the age gap, the three of us are very close. We're all only child, so we treat each other as siblings... although Godwyn is almost like a son to me since I took care of him when he was a baby.

They stayed at our place the whole weekend and we celebrated Godwyn's 13th birthday last Saturday! <3

Here's the celebrant with his cookies and cream cake. He's also wearing the birthday gift he received from his mom. It's a Jordan Poole shirt. Lately, he's into playing sports like basketball and volleyball. He's such an active kid... or shall I say, teenager? :)

We prepared some spaghetti and fried chicken for him while Nicole's mom made some maja blanca and gave us a bunch of mangoes. She couldn't come last weekend since she had to take care of her mother-in-law because my uncle's younger brother got into an accident last time, so he's not able to do so.

It's Godwyn and his mama. I love both of them so much. They're so close to each other. Well, that's a given since they're always together. Godwyn's papa is working now, but the relationship is quite complicated. Anyway, we chose to enjoy and spend a happy time last weekend together, though. :)

Godwyn stood on tiptoe... hahaha He's taller than both of us now. Nicole is still the cutest. These are my babies. We spent a lot of fun times last weekend. We played mobile games together and watched a lot of movies. We also sang and danced. Of course, we talked a lot about their studies, plans in the future and a lot more. I really love my babies... <3

Godwyn is also really close to my parents. He enjoys spending time with them and also opens up to them. His father is mostly away because of work... well, even when he's around, he's kind of busy doing other things for himself rather than spending time with Godwyn. I mean, he's a good man... but maybe not that much as a father?

I think that's also the reason why Godwyn is much closer to my father than his own. He opens up to my father a lot and they do some activities together. It's nice to watch them together, too.

Of course, our photoshoot is incomplete without Arashi. My cousins are also pretty close to our furbaby Arashi, so he's very comfortable playing and hanging around with them.

They had to go home yesterday (Sunday), though. Godwyn has to go to his choir practice today while Nicole has to go to summer class. She mentioned getting 9 units this summer semester, so she's also pretty busy. She's going to be a 3rd year college student after the summer semester. It's still quite hard to believe. haha

Last weekend was a blast. It would be great to spend more time with them someday. Godwyn's school vacation starts soon, while Nicole's 2-week vacation starts next month. Hopefully, we could spend some time together then.

Anyway, it's back to reality for now. I'll be having my classes again in a few minutes. Thanks for reading and see you around! :)
