A Very Eventful and Productive Sunday

Recently, I've been opening more classes on weekends, so I could work shorter hours on weekdays. I do this so I can have more time for my hobbies, including creating blog posts. I also started adjusting my sleeping schedule, so my family and I can wake up earlier to do some exercise earlier in the day.

However, I decided not to open any classes last Sunday. My father was scheduled to go shopping for our groceries at home and our small store. I told him I'd tag along and wanted to go for a walk.

The shortest route from our house to our destination is around 2.7 kilometers, however, I wanted to take a detour. There are several routes to choose from, but the one I chose was about 7 kilometers. I wanted to pass by my previous work place and check if there were any changes. hahaha

It was rainy the night before, so there were puddles here and there. It was around half past seven when my father and I headed out. The supermarket opens at eight.

Since we're taking a detour, the majority of the roads we chose are smaller ones. They weren't busy and we'd mostly just see houses around.

In some streets, there are still some old-style Filipino houses. This style was common, especially during the Spanish era. Also, that huge building behind is a school with a dormitory.

Several meters after we passed by the back gate of the school I showed earlier, there were these interesting-looking snags. I don't know why, but I find beauty in them. Despite them being unalive, they still serve a purpose, so I think they're cool.

Crossing the main road meant we' were halfway our destination... and the streets would be more chaotic and crowded. xD

It was quite nostalgic to see my previous workplace. It's a Sparta English academy with a dormitory for the students. I used to work in this academy more than 10 years ago. I experienced a lot of interesting things and met a lot of amusing people in this place. It's quite memorable. :)

And we finally reached the commercial area of the city. Going straight would lead us to the city's public market and the mountainous area of our city. Turning right would lead us to the main road going to the next city, Cebu City. The supermarket we were headed is in that direction.

Look at that sweat. hahaha
It felt good and refreshing, though. :) We saw this cute Christmas decor at the side entrance of the mall. The supermarket was open, but the other shops weren't.

The mall was full of lovely Christmas decorations. Let me show more of them below.

This one's the main entrance of the mall. :)

This mall is a small one. The bigger malls have enormous Christmas trees and other crazy decorations and illumination. Sometimes, being visit malls just to see them. :)

After we shopped, they had this small game. If the value we shopped reached a certain amount, we had the chance to win something. My father didn't win anything, though. haha However, there was another one in the supermarket earlier, and I got a gift check worth Php100. haha

We headed home and later in the afternoon, I helped my cousin with his project. It's great to be productive even when I chose not to work last Sunday. I had a great time with my family.

I'll be working next weekend though... I may take several days off during the Christmas season, so I have to work before that. :) haha

Thanks for reading! See you around! (^^,)/

Eyyy, you had a productive morning, the walk outside with your pops is surely fun. And with all the sweats, malaki laki din ang nabawas nyan, uwu. Laging short walk talaga nagagawa ko, that's why I don't even sweat. Mapagod kapag malayo eh 🤧🤧, skl, lolol

Yeah... Seldom lang rn kasi maka-walking, so it's nice to make it longer. :) if I had more time, I'd have preferred frequent short walks... 😜
