My Thoughts On AI After Using Midjourney And OpenAI's ChatGPT

(Edited)

So I spent the past few hours exploring two of the most famous AI tools right now, Midjourney AI best known for creating images and ChatGPT which is best known for interactive conversations and written words. Firstly, I'd be completely honest and plain here, it felt so amazing seeing how intelligent our computers are especially with the Midjourney AI. Don't get me wrong though, machines and computer have been performing wonder especially in the past few years from the personal assistant on phones, to GPS in cars, to blockchain tech etc, but these tools are some of the coolest because so far because believe they'll pave way for some way bigger things soon to happen with AI.

As much as I had a great time exploring these tools which I also kinda found addictive, I'm still of the opinion that AI would eliminate most jobs and activities that took humans so much time and effort to carry out. For example, with short time I spent experimenting these tools today, I don't see much need for a graphic designer, an animator or an artist or a freelancer who spends hours and sometimes even days to create the awesome works these tools created in a matter of seconds for free. It's no surprise why Midjourney has over 9 million discord users and that number I'd rapid growing with every passing day. As for ChatGPT, it was so much fun to use. Although it isn't perfect yet, it does an excellent job with some kinds of questions.

So here's my final thought on the unstoppable AI revolution. AI is the future, no doubt about that as there are infact gonna be way more crazier tools in the future. So we have to be prepared for the impacts both postive and negative. Positive as AI makes life easier and gets jobs faster and just in ways that satisfy us. And negative as it would cause people to become more dependent on machines, would reduce our dependence on fellow humans for so many things.

Have you tried both tools?. Please feel free to share your thoughts on AI as well.
