When Dealing With An Interesting Build

Well Hello There Horsepower Lovers!!

Ohh But I Bet!

I bet you haven't seen this one on my blog yet? Or perhaps? I don't recall ever sharing one of these! Boy oh boy they are just a headache! Without a doubt! Real bad!

We've always had our asses handed to us and not on a silver or gold platter... just handed! They are so tedious and they have so many small components like bushes on which other parts float and turn! Miss one of them and this transmission would kick you in the back real hard! It's a hard tear down and it's an even harder removal and fitting to the vehicle!

It has been worked on before! It has some of the most schetchy sealant ever! It's sticking like crazy shit and that's not what you want at all! Not at all!

Oh Dear!

Oh dear! Okay it's not that bad, it's bad because it's not an engine and it's an automatic as well! This things has more clutches than a race track full of manual racers! Gotta have clean oil!

To be expected but by the looks of it this thing has gotten some water! Just a teeny tiny little bit, oh but that is all that is needed right?

Check This Whack Build.

I really don't want to sound like a complaining tard but heck I don't like these builds!

Oil pickup at the bottom, two chunker gears at the back that is just a pain to remove (Actually not but looking at them it does) and the valve body at the front which has like 20 little eight head bolts! Whyyyyyyy!

I have the impact of course it's a fast tear down but dang! Oh see the water droplets in the brown oil in the pan??

This is what lies underneath the valve body! I mean seriously Dodge? Or Chrysler or whoever designed this transmission! What's with those pistons? We've moved past those right? Need a catch up? Go check what Ford is doing.... MAYBE you'll catch the trend!!

Ah well it is what it is right? Just messing those about can really mess you about! Underneath the six pistons they have spring packs, dang they are a pain sometimes!

One Good Thing!

This seriously was a good idea!

What they did to remove the pump! They added threads in the pump itself... only 2 of 6 holes had thread on the pump, so what you do is get another thicker bolt and simply twist it in and have the pump get pushed out in the process!

Take note this is not a finger tight process, gotta get that wrench in there xD!

More Signs Of Water!

Removing the pump and no it's not a water pump it's an oil pump even though I know it does look a lot like a water pump right about now! I wonder if they removed it because of the water inside the transmission and just kept quiet about it or what?

Oh this is a loose transmission someone brought in, they didn't bring the entire car with them.

Not good at all! Not good!

This Is Cool!

The fun in tearing down those stuff you rarely get to do... They have strong transmissions, they fail but we don't get a lot of them so maybe they do fail a lot I don't know!

Point is... it's nice working on them because you get to see some new stuff! New designs and all that. It's a crappy game sometimes but surely one that keeps you on your feet!

I do wonder what lies on the inside of this one and how it works in there!
One of those big gears at the back bolts down onto it, so I am interested in knowing what its function is!
