The Ancient House Of Samurai: The Story Begins
Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers
I have a problem and it's because I am slacking on my gaming related content, it's been more than a week since my last gaming post and before that it's been two weeks. It's not that I don't want to make them it just takes a little bit more time because of the need to play the game which takes time. I have a few things going on in my life at the moment such as studying and all that.
Nothing bad though, the problem is time.
But without further a due let's jump back in to For Honor. In the last post The Great Raid And The Great Fall I finished up The Viking campaign and for today's episode I will be starting off with The Samurai campaign.
Super stoked about that!
I've been waiting the whole game to get up on The Samurai campaign and well now it's finally here! I decided to jump back in on it with the HARD difficulty, however it will be alot easier at the start then it will be when I reach the end. The end will be insane I can promise you that!
Home
The Samurai made themselves a new home and this new home is under constant attacks from both The Vikings and The Knights. Oh yes The Knights are back in the story and The Samurai have to deal with both of them at the same time!
Perhaps that's the reason why they are such skilled warriors, both in patience and fierceness.
The Hour Of The Owl
They came in the dead of night, always in the dead of night. When they march terror marches with them, more than often they have won the battle before it even started, playing their drums of war, calling the demons of death to follow where they tread.
Bludgeoning and Plundering is what they came for.
I was a prisoner when the city was raided, and to say the least I won't be able to fight a war from a prison cell. That's where my loyal brothers and sisters came into the play.
They saw an opportunity and took it... This is the time to make amends for my wrongs or die trying!
Running away and leaving the city in the hands of The Vikings wasn't an option.
Not by far.
And Fight We Shall.
By the time I was able to escape the city has nearly fell. They were pushed far up and almost reached the palace. If we were to survive this it would not be an easy battle.
This is where we will be tested over and over. The only way of surviving was to keep pushing harder and harder with every step we take!
A Samurai does not back off from a fight.
The first thing we needed to do was eliminate the leaders of the groups raiding the city. This meant to ignore most of the pawns and go straight for the ones that really mattered.
Morale can kill a man, especially when losing it. And when they lose it they will flock away like deer being hunted!
After inciting chaos amongst their 'ranks' we were able to take a breather and set up a proper defence line, with help of the tree located in the heart of our city! It proved to be a formidable vantage point not only was it higher ground it also held some poisons in it's roots.... Poisons we could use to our advantage.
One by one they slowly fell, shortness of breath and blurry visions, well.. That you don't want during a battle.
There we were... Patiently waiting and playing the game of Kings and Emperors!
After fighting relentlessly beneath the great oak tree it was time to push forward!
The gates was insight and the battle almost over, with our forces having gained a morale boost and their forces losing morale and ground every second of battle, it was clear who the victors will be but The Vikings are a proud breed and they will not back off like scared dogs.
They have always fought to the end! Who knows why? Perhaps for the liking of the gods they served.
The final push is here.
Just as the battle seemed to be drawing to an end.
Something unexpected happened.
The Knights came charging through the gates on horse back almost as if they were planning on slaughtering The Vikings while they were busy plundering the city.
Our home has been attacked not once but twice on one night!
No honor among thieves, nor killers.
This was now a fight for survival and not a defence of home. Home has fallen the moment those knights came charging through on horse back.
With The Knights having the upper hand in this fight now all we could do was stand and defend every last blow coming our way. But fighting and pushing forward was to be a useless exercise.
The Knights made their way straight to the palace not thinking of what lay behind them, charging for the center of it all!
The wisest move they have made.
Needless to say the palace fell faster than anyone could react with the least amount of fighting The Knights made the best chess move of the game so far!
As always they pick out the sheep from the wolves, killing a wolf that can join the army proved pointless. A hungry wolf is worth more alive than dead!
The Knights made it very clear as to why they were there and who they were.
War.
