Gunning It Out In A Dodge! A Beast With Too Much Power!

Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers!

Clearly I've Been Missing Out!

I noticed the other day that I can purchase a smackingly nice Mercedes for a low balling price of just 150 Forzathon Shop Points! That is a extremely low price and I jumped on it straight away!

Today I noticed that I can get a Aston Martin and a Bentley for equally as low a price! I jumped on those as well!

I never really noticed that some cars were cheaper! I always thought everything to be in the range of 800- 1200 Forzathon points!
Now the question is on how much did I miss out!

The Dodge And A Speed Event!

Now I'm not saying the Dodge is a slow car! Not at all but for a speed event it might be a sluggish old thing!

I took a long shot here and it certainly paid of pretty well! Hey I love my Dodge and all clad in red makes it a beast straight from hell! Can't you hear how it purs away the gallons and gallons of gas!

Yeah it's meant for a heavy footer with a deep pocket ey!
Again there are plenty of cars better suited for speed events!

Still Getting The Hang Of It!

Okay so the controller is still a little wonky to me to say the least but once I manage to drive it like a pro from third person I'll start switching it up with the first person look! I am dying for that first person look though!

It's just really odd now and even though I keep bumping into everything with the third person view I do have to say that I do a lot more with the first person view... In time and in practice things will change up majorly... eventually!

A Happy Go Burning Rubber!

To be honest... when I started playing Forza I had no love for these real wheel drive cars! But with the controller it's so much easier to control these beasts! It's like @demotry told me it's going to be whack and well he wasn't at all wrong! This is whack!

As I said still sluggish but overall I can feel a major improvement in the ability to control this beast! Never mind the wrecks along the side of the car xD This after all is a speed event! Oh wait it hasn't started yet xD!

A Hellish Thing!

My mind has shifted more towards these beasts than they have for staying on all those fancy and fun Supra's and Skyline's.... Not going to say that I don't like those anymore but I think I might be heading into a different class of cars... Especially with the off-road gunners and the torque givers!

I am keen on hitting the next race in a big old 4x4 sloshing it through the mud and rocks and jumping over mountains! Might be that is what you'll see next!

forza is an amazing game buddy!

I recommend turning off all driving assistance.

if you are new I recommend getting an AWD(All wheel drive) car.
AWD = grip.
RWD = top speed (requires throttle control at low speed)
FWD = middle of the two above, which makes it slightly worse on high PR ratings, good on low PR ratings though.

I recommend toying with tuning gear transmission. I love that part.

Cheers! maybe next time you gonna get a full on racing wheel with force feedback. 😁

P.S.: I see you have forza 4. I have the same game too( i don't think my cpu can handle 5 LOL!). I play on PC. if you wanna have a convoy. hit me up! 😁

I'll have to check the settings, not sure if I do or do not have any on..

Yeah I am a big fan of AWD in real life as well... those Subaru's and stuff deadly vehicles around a race track that much is certain!

See I've been playing for a long time BUT I always just jump in and race xD typical techie, maybe I should have a sit down and tune the game a bit.. Although what is this PR rating you mention?

I've forgotten all about the transmission tuning I think I did that the first time I played with one vehicle and never again xD Whack I should do that! Might win a few more races then because of the gear config... Or might jump out of the line faster.

The full on racing wheel... now that would be a dream but first I need to put a ring on "The Betty's" finger xD

Thanks for the assistance bud!

pr ratings are like division, class d, class c, class b, class a, s1, s2, x.
as you might have notice each car has a 3 digit number with a colored border, in this way a slow car can't fight with a big car.

it's mostly important in matchmaking/multiplayer.
you want to have a car for road/dirt/off road for each PR rating.

let's say your racing in class A which is 701-800. you'd want your car PR rating at 800, as being below that number means your car is underspecced.

modifying a transmission is a good idea.(make sure you buy the custom transmission to unlock the ability to tune it in tuning)

a car's engine releases different torque at different rpms.

Screenshot (1223).png
in the image above you can see that peak torque is at around 4k rpm to 5,5k rpm.

as a manual transmission player. I set the gear 3 of a car's transmission specifically for cornering min maxing that 4k~5,5k rpm.

another good reason for switching to manual is the gears won't switch when speed goes low or high while cornering as it is in automatic.

in the tuning there's lot of stuff you can change as well like suspension height and aerodynamics.

the former changes the center of gravity of the car while also affecting your car against road conditions(e.g.: flat road), the latter makes the air force your car to grip the ground more increasing cornering while decreasing top speed or vice versa.

there's also ways to make your car oversteer and understeer.

there's a lot to custom tailor to make the car fit you the most. 😁

This is a nice gameplay, coupled with the car changes and recommendations you did. I will love to try this out and also share a review about it soon.
