Eerie Weather Wednesday Walk!
Well Hello There Fellow Hivers!
It's Wednesday and it's time for a walk!
Now I don't have much to show today but I do want to share some pictures of the perfect weather conditions... well at least the perfect weather for me!
Misty mornings cold!
Now I can't stress this enough but whenever I go out in the morning and the Earth is all misted up like this boy oh boy I get filled with more energy than I can handle when I walk out into such an environment.
Why I do not know... All I know is that I am a fan of "Bad Weather" as most people would see it, come the rain and thunder I love it! The Betty on the other hand is not very fond of weather like this, she's more the sunshine type of vibe person.
Well since it's no sunshine day we got to make due with what we have, the only downside about this weather is that everything is wet and walking through the grass can get your pants and shoes as wet as if you stepped in water, even though it still has this feeling to it... a feeling I can't really pin point or explain but it's a eerie like feeling or perhaps my brain overloads because of how magnificently beautiful it is. Or perhaps I just like it because it's out of the ordinary and I do love that!
How far will I walk? As far as the road leads!
Laughs well the plan is to walk till the other end of the farm and turn around when I reach the gate of the farm. The best plan would have probably been to bring a folding camp chair with me and pick a spot in the middle of the fields, perhaps bring a book along with me and read while I try to spot the wildlife with one eye.
The farm is really like a Timone and Simba story, when the sun rises the creatures and animals start crawling around trying to get a glimpse of the sun light to bake them after the cold of the night.
We have a wide variety of animals on the farm here , now although I don't have that many photos of the animals I can say with certainty that this is almost like a nature preservation site.
I reached the gate at last and it made for quite a beautiful picture even if I have to say so myself!
I want to jump back to the previous section where I said the farm is almost like a preservation site.
One very early morning walking up this same road I came down on a bird trap with a trapped "guinea fowl" inside, now as much as I do believe that hunting is a part of our lives and should be embraced I did not like it one bit that they captured the guinea fowl. The first reason for this is because they can't restrict them selves to one a week or even better one a month, if they catch one they would immediately reset the trap and wait for the next guinea fowl. The problem for me with this was that they can't buy food they have to diminish all the wildlife thriving on our grounds but they have plenty of money to buy booze and party over the weekends?
If the situation was different and these oaks had genuine money problems I would have allowed it to continue, but instead I took the trap and threw it in our garage, I am yet to find another trap but if I do all hell would break loose.
Okay so ever since I took the trap away the guinea fowl population has been thriving like never before on the farm, where there used to be 10-15 there are now well over 40-50 of them hiding around in the long grass! I can even see their footprints in the mud now where I've never seen any trace of them other than the fact of seeing them.
Okay this is straying from a Wednesday Walk post, laughs apologies... that's probably why I shouldn't do free writing because I just type down what goes through my mind! It's a burden sometimes.

I love the rain and a bit dark weather too and it's not a bad thing (at least what I tell myself).
The idea of having to sit under a tree and read a novel or book of choice in such an environment + weather just feels beautiful to imagine💭😀
Thanks for a lovely post as usual and giving me the opportunity to just dream and smile😁 💕

I like those weathers. You can describe them as thoughtful and the quiet helps you to find your inner middle.
I love them too :)
It is the type of climate that is most enjoyed. You are very lucky to have a good place to walk.
Lovely walk! I love misty and rainy days too. Thank you for doing your part in preserving nature. I'm sure the guinea fowls are thankful too. Do enjoy the weekend! :)
