Safari Dreams Come Alive at Baluarte Zoo, Vigan Ilocos Sur!

As I travel and see more places, the world is getting bigger. I realize more and more how little I know, how many places I still need to visit, and how much more I still need to learn as I become more aware of it.

Traveling is fascinating and illuminating. The unique experiences you have while on vacation can change your outlook, open your mind to new concepts, and turn your encounters into enduring memories.

As a child, I always dreamed of going to the zoo to wander about and see different kinds of animals I had only read about in textbooks and watched on television.

Because I knew that because we were poor, it was only a dream for me to be able to go to a zoo. Luckily, on my last vacation, I already had the chance to experience going to a zoo.

Today, I want to share my experience with you in one of the most visited places in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, the Baluarte Zoo.

Baluarte had been a retreat for well-known politician and businessman Chavit Singson in earlier decades. Over the years, Chavit Singson considered opening a zoo in Baluarte, and his hunting diversion led to a significant increase in his trophy collection.

Visitors from all over the world can now visit Baluarte Zoo. Therefore, you should go to Baluarte Zoo as soon as possible if you love animals and want to see many rare animals in our nation.

It's a zoo with a lot of green space and a wide variety of wildlife. There were snakes, monkeys, ostriches, and horses. You will undoubtedly enjoy the location if you are an animal lover.

There's an outdoor space where visitors can get up close and personal with free-ranging ostriches, spotted deer, and donkeys. Zebras, camels, and reptiles are other creatures housed in cages.

Visitors can see glimpses of lions, Bengal tigers, camels, monkeys, peacocks, civet cats, iguanas, pythons, and other reptiles, birds, and animals along the paths, roads, and cages.

Upon ascending the hill, we observed many tourists congregating in one area. This is why we go there, where we discover a large and significant white lion that is visible up close and that visitors can even touch the animal's skin.

Baluarte Museum (Safari Gallery)

The 120-hectare estate of Singson houses a taxidermy museum. Perched on a hill, this offers views of the zoo and Vigan City. Preserved animals that Singson hunted overseas are on display.

What sets me apart from other zoos I've visited, though, is the Safari Gallery. The park indeed has a museum. There is a display of immaculate wild animals in the gallery. These are a few of the local wild animals that can be found.

I saw animals at the Baluarte Zoo that I never thought existed. This is a dream come true for me; it's a dream from my childhood.

A must-do adventure for anyone visiting Ilocos Sur is a trip to the Baluarte Zoo. Ultimately, spending time with friendly and cute animals is always a good idea. Bring your friends and family with you when you visit.

Wow! This is indeed a great place to visit. I haven't been in a zoo ever since except in some of the pet zone. I never seen some of the animals in person.

Anyway, worldmappin is new to me. Is this similar to pinmapple? I've been inactive and I notice some new here.

Wow, such a spectacular visit in an amazing place. I am reminded of my last year's visit in Zoori, Tagaytay. But, I had not seen deer, zebra, and ostrich there. Great that you had withnessed them there personally.
