Play To Earn Fixation.

Gaming to earn is one beautiful reward and opportunity you get for putting your time and energy into winning a game but on the other hand another way to end your life. I believe games are played for fun and not solely to earn a living.
I have come across so many game’s which you play to earn but they leave you with a description like ‘PLAY FOR FUN NOT TO EARN A LIVING’ This brings me to the negative effects of play to earn syndrome amongst most gamers I have met.

Every Gamer is surly going to lose someday. That is why it is a game, we can’t win every single time we get to play. This is one thing people who go into gaming to earn a living don’t simply understand, you don’t get to win always so far it is a game. A lot of people cannot handle failure playing a normal game which even if they won, won’t even reward them with any pay not to talk of losing a game which could provide them with real money.
This has led a lot of gamers I know into depression, most especially people who don’t play for fun. Some game’s require you to stake and play what you can afford but they warn you to stake what you could lose incase you don’t win the game. This is where addiction and greed comes in, when you play a game to earn and you win. There is this joy that comes, it always encourages you to play more. In cases where you don’t have self discipline you could stake what you cannot afford to lose.
Then when you stake your life savings and lose everything to the game. You would feel like committing suicide because you lost both the money you staked and the game you played leaving you with nothing. This is why I believe most game’s that we earn from has done more harm than good.
A lot of people have lost their fortunes to staked games, and even casinos because they get so greedy and put their everything into the game. This could lead to depression and psychological breakdown, because gaming is not created to make you rich but it is created for recreational purposes. Any other benefits we get from the game should just be an added value to the game.
In summary I believe if money in gaming is involved the addiction could become worse because when the player losses it could cause pain and desperation to win back all the fortunes he or she has lost. This could even lead to borrowing funds to stake a game which could still end up in total loss for the player. Playing to earn is fun but very risky because the effect it has on the player is worse than the effect it has when there is no reward attached to the game. I advice we play for fun and not to earn, stake what you could also forfeit to avoid depression.
Yeah... once money gets involved, it changes everything entirely and you will feel everything more acutely. That is just how it is, we have to be careful with the way we dabble in the games so we do not hurt ourselves.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
when money is involved I don't call it a game anymore, there are other languages that are more specific in my opinion, for example, let's "bet" or let's "gamble", no longer let's "play".
does anyone understand what i mean. 😁🙏
