Daily Portrait - Sky

avatar

Daily portraiture of Sky. This photo was taken during the "Break away season 2" photography workshop. I was one of the crew during that time. My main role was to take most of the BTS on the event it self. During this photoshoot I had to slide in through the crowd of participant to take this photo. This photo was a combination of several other photos if I am not mistaken 4 or 5 photo was used and combined in Photoshop to get this result.

I am using my first DSLR the Canon 70D and my kit lens 18mm - 200mm EF lens during this workshop. Luckily this shoot was held on the rocky beach and it was nearly noon during that time. The lighting was good, and the weather was windy with some overcast sky.

Below are the result of the stitched photo done in photoshop.

It was very hot during that day, I change some of the photo white balance to give it some cooler vibes and much more higher contrast on the edges of the photo. While keeping a soft light on Sky's face makes her become the focus of the entire photo.

I think this was one of my greatest photo taken with a wide lens and my Canon 70D with its kit lens. Looking back on this photo, it made me realize that during my earlier days in photography my eyes are different compared to what my eyes want to see nowadays. Working in a studio really made me limit my self for an indoor photoshoot setup only.

I think this year I need to go out more and explore the city while making lots of portrait with more of the environment in the picture itself. I wanted to go to other photography genre too but my passion on portrait photography was too strong! xD

Below was the BTS shoot taken before I took the shoot above.

Anyways, this is my short post for today. I hope that I can somehow inspired you guys. Have a great day everyone.

nice pics, clear example that most of the time there is more behind a picture than it really seems, really like the effect of the lens pointing up with the little hill in the back, gives depth to the picture, thx for sharing @tawadak24 ✌️

Dude, that's quite an attractive composition. Ordinary people do not usually take into account all the work that goes into making a photograph like the one you show, but we do have to praise the result of the effort.
