Bachelor of Malaysia Finalist

Hello and greeting everyone in the Photography Lovers community. How are you guys? I hope that you had a great day. Today I wanted to share another series of male pageant photo that I took few years back. It was the photo of the finalist of the Bachelor of Malaysia, a male pageant that provides its contestant a platform to compete in the international level.

This photo was taken at a hotel garden called the Palace Hotel. It was rumored that some of this hotel's room is haunted. Some of the people living there had an experience of something unnatural to them such as voices after midnight and things inside the hotel room was moving by themselves. Luckily during my time staying and working for this shoot I did not get the chance to experience all of those things.

So the setup for this shoot was only using one light strobe with a 120cm octa softbox for the main light. As for the rim lightings, I had the morning sunlight. This shoot was a bit challenging because of the jewelry. I had to shoot them using the sponsored jewelry and some of the jewelry was very sensitive to light. It will shine so bright and I had a hard tome to get the details of the jewelry. But after some trial and error on the lighting setup with the combination of the sunlight, I somehow managed to get a good shoot for them and showcasing the jewelry itself.
