West Island Greens

For this post I am going back to an early morning walk I took on West Island in Fairhaven MA, a nice spot not to far from home in the early morning with no traffic about a 30 Minute drive.

I had visited the island a few times before but always walked around the edge of the island , but after bumping into another local photographer there one visit I headed with him into the marshes area back from the beach and loved this area and since then visited there a couple of more times, these photos are from one of these subsequent visits

Its quite a wide area of marshes, wasn't many clouds int he sky that morning so not a special colorful sunrise, but still a nice glow along the horizon over the green marshes

The beach is behind me as I took this photo, there is a large marshy area with a walking trail along side it , something about this little pond really caught my eye and I had to get a shot of it

Another shot over the marshes the sun was actually rising almost behind me on this viewpoint, the beach curves around the island and the water is at the end of these marshes

I told you this little pond on the marsh caught my eye I took shots of it from a few angles

This is actually near the start of my walk that morning from the car Park, you walk down this trail, the beach is right ahead and the marshes on either side of me as I took this photo

I wonder how that little pond was made there. Thus, I guess that is a perfect one for those animals who are thirsty and in need of refreshment. This is quite peaceful and calm though. In this kind of place is good for shouting when you are too much stressed in your life and you can scream at the top of your lungs.

Thanks, yes not to far at all I am lucky to have plenty of spots I can visit fairly close by :)

The way the picture was taken was just wonderful. These resemble works of art by Bob Ross! Smooth and lovely colors can be seen.

The green grass blending into the orange sunrise then the blue sky is great. Different look than the sunrise over the ocean. Nice sunrise to start my Saturday 👍
