Thursday - Cobblestones and sunrise

Cobblestones and sunrise

Good Morning,i hope your week is going well

Well it’s been a couple of weeks since my last post so I should give an update and what a couple of weeeks it’s been

Just over two weeks ago I had a big sneeze and a bumped popped out of the would site in my belly
Next day I had an appointment with the surgeon he saw it and had me to straight to ER

Which I did that day they did a second surgery. Which went well but my recover was a bit slow and was in the hospital for 8 days but got home yesterday

Great to be home and taking it very easy to be honest even easier than last time this last episode worried us all and my wife and family nagging me to do nothing

One thing I have been hoping to catch is the sunrise colors as seen over the cobblestone ( OK i know they are Belgian blocks but I still call them cobblestones) streets in the historic district here in New Bedford, but often if by looking at the weather apps and think it will be a colorful sunrise I will head to one of the beaches as I do love sunrise sover the water.

But recently ona morning I thought could go either way with either a nice or dull sunrise, I decided to head to the historic district for a few shots and we did get some nice subtle sunrise colors and I got these shots I will share today not spectacular but I think they are nice

I think the street lights and building lights on one of the restaurants added to this shot one day I guess I will catch a more glorious and visir dunrise from these viewpoints, but I kind of like these even with subtle colors of curise

Either way I find the belgian block/Cobblestone streets so cool and enjoyed walking around them getting a bunch of shots that morning even before the colors of sunrise appeared and I captured these images

the sign above the door says the Rodman Candlework Factory which I guess was the original use of this building

apparently back in the day for 80 years it produced spermaceti candles, a luxury item made of the “top tier” oil from the sperm whales head. These candles which gave rise to the term “candle power” were touted as the brightest, cleanest, and most expensive illumination choice of the 19th century.

So good to see you back JJ, you have had a torrid time, but we are survivors my friend.
Note: Please now don't sneeze again, rather wait until it's properly healed, and then you can sneeze for a whole month !LOLZ

Oh wow, that is horrible! I am glad they caught it early though. I can't imagine how scary that must have been. Those city shots are looking awesome. I hope you are able to recover soon.

I'm glad you're home now and after the operation you'll be much better. Take it easy and don't do anything, it's for the best.

I love the streets and these ones even more, they have an antique feel to them and with the lighting they are perfect!

( OK i know they are Belgian blocks but I still call them cobblestones)

Well to me they are cobbles or cobblestones, this is the first I am hearing of Belgian blocks!

Ah what a couple of weeks you had. Rest means rest, so yeah time to listen to your family and doctors!
