Now for these two challenges I often opt for flowers or birds, but this week I am going with something different
I do love seeing the cobblestone streets, but not so much in love with them driving over them where the make your car shake rattle and roll, and walking on them can be a challenge especially when they are wet they can be slippery, and that's in normal shoes I feel sorry for the ladies who work in this area and wear high heels I would imagine they are a nightmare.
I parked at the port the morning i took these shots and walked up to the historic district, heres the first shot as I entered the area

the reason I decided to head tot his area that morning as it had been raining and I wasn't sure if I would be able to get out for a walk that morning but around 5:30 the rain stopped and out I went, as I was driving thinking about where to go I thought after the rain the cobblestones might have a nice glow so that's where I headed

Yes I was standing in the middle of the road when taking that shot but with my camera on a tripod and taking long exposure shots I was able to keep an eye out for any traffic coming and this early in the morning there was not too much traffic
Looking up one of the side streets early morning with no cars in view I feel this area has a time gone by feel and perhaps even a European feel

Do you really get up that early? But this is my prefer settings to jog in the street..
I like the 3rd and 4th shots with the uniformly spaced and colored street lights. It does look like a European street and I would even say from days gone by. Nice look. Nice pics.

I love the cobblestone streets you've captured in your photos. They have a timeless quality to them, and the rain-wet pavement adds to the atmosphere. Like almost smelling the fresh air.
The side street shots give me the feeling of stepping back in time.
