Sublime and Beautiful Sunday fish at the zoo
This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.
Good Morning I hope your weekend is going well
These shots I had edited thinking I would use them for a a Market Friday post, but I find watching fish in an aquarium or at the buttonwood park zoo in this case quite beautiful in general.
But watching jellyfish I find both beautiful and kind of sublime, when I saw these I stood watching them float up and down as they do almost mesmerized by them and found myself feeling quite calm and relaxed.

the lighting in the area where the jellyfish were on display was minimal at best, I really had to crank up the ISO to get these shots, and and quite pleased how my Sony A7IV handles high ISO, the shots of the jellyfish are at an ISO of 16,000, and sure there is some noise but I think the shots are still OK.
ON previous cameras I have had such an high ISO would have made such noisy shots I would not have used them.
MY main focus for this post is on the Jellyfish, but I slipped in a couple of other shots as well such as this cute little fish.

Some interesting facts about Jellyfish
Jellyfish have been in our oceans for over 500 million years - that's longer than dinosaurs, and a lot longer than us.
they are 95% water
Surprisingly, jellyfish are mostly made up of water, not jelly. This is why they look so different in the water than out of it.
They don’t have brains, hearts, or lungs
Jellyfish are very simple organisms. Their bodies are made up of just three layers— the outer epidermis, a gelatinous middle layer called the mesoglea, and the inner gastrodermis.

They are sublime! You are so right. The Baltimore Aquarium is one of my favorite places to go, and it doesn't hurt that they have the Chesapeake Lighthouse Ship anchored there! Sometimes I go just for the Jelly Room, filled with all different kinds of jellies! If you get close to the tanks, you can hear music playing softly on some, and watch as they do the ballet of the jellies, floating through the water.
It is mesmerizing.
Your pictures are delightful and have me looking at my own Aquarium shots. I might need to go there after Easter! Thanks for sharing. I especially love the thumbnail and the seahorse! Happy Sublime Sunday!
The Baltimore aquarium sounds amazing, its been far to long since I went to one, off to search for one nearby

When you have the time, it might be fun to go to Wood Hole Science Aquarium, where NOAA operates. Some of the most unique specimens on a normal basis. My cousin lived/worked there. It is really small but worth the visit depending on how far it is for you.
