Sublime and Beautiful Sunday Ducks

Sublime and Beautiful Sunday Ducks

Sorry I have been absent on here for a long while

First off let me say I’m doing a lot better building up after my two surgeries slowly day by day

In a couple of weeks I hope to start getting out for walks with my camera and start posting more regularly

Good morning, Have a super Sunday

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

For today I am sharing a few shots of ducks of which we have many here and so many different types, I will admit I am no expert on the different types of ducks so often just refler to them as ducks, but this pair I caughtflying over the pond in Victory Parkwhich ois called by many of the locals here the Poor far are I do believe are Mallards

and iIdid say there are many of them here on this sid eof the pond beside the street when I visit this area I have always found a group of ducks, I wonder if its because someone comes along and feeds them here inthe mornings and they have either just bene fed or are waiting for the food to come

Now when it comes to feedign ducks it annoys me when I see people feedign them bread, its not good for them

so heres the do's and don'ts of feedign ducks

DON’T: Feed ducks bread or junk food. Foods like bread and crackers have no nutritional value to ducks and can cause malnutrition and painful deformities if consumed too much.

DO: Feed ducks cracked corn, oats, rice, birdseed, frozen peas, chopped lettuce, or sliced grapes. These foods are similar to natural foods ducks will forage for on their own.

What great shots of these ducks with a spectacular setting, plus I loved the shots where you captured the movement of the ducks' flights.

Great to see you back in action! Some nice duck photos, beautiful! I'm with you on feeding ducks, bread is really bad for them. All the options you mention are much better alternatives. I don't think I've ever seen a wood duck out west, I don't think I've seen one since I lived on the east coast.

Glad you're feeling somewhat better!

I'm no expert on ducks too. Only the mandarin ducks are more distinguishable than others but looks like you haven't spotted any here.

Oh, @tattoodjay !!! We are so happy to see you posting—or, perhaps more accurately, that you are posting well enough to post—and what a lovely post this is. Ducks have an alluring characteristic that makes us unable to resist becoming enthralled with them. I'm grateful for these beautiful, expert glances into their lives.
I'm glad to hear that you are recovering.

That looks like a very peaceful area. As the metro aspect of where I have been living for the past 5 years starts to wear more and more on me, I start to appreciate the beauty of things like this. I just want some quiet! :)

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. I imagine you must be looking forward to getting back to your nice routine of going out to photograph very early in the mornings.

Best regards! ...nice ducks and great advice.

First, great to hear you are on the road to mend.

Ducks are exceptionally attractive always draw our attention to them, seldom afraid of humans. Good note on what to or not to feed ducks (most wildlife), their offspring suffer deformities in skeletal structure from bread and processed foods.

!LUV to both you and Lulu.
