Popes Island Marina

Popes Island Marina

For my last Wednesday Walk post I shared some shots from a morning visit to POpes Island where is was grey and moody, and I thought i would follow it up with a nice post of the area, well this time on the Jettys at Popes Island Marina

Normally only paying members with boats docked here have access to the jettys slips, piers or whatever they are called, but a while back they hosted the replica ship the Nao Trinidad, and when it was docked there access was allowed, I got some shots of the ship, but also of other ships/boats yachts docked there and thats what I am sharing today

this is looking back towards the building you enter through to get out on the marina

Lots of nice boats docked here, sure lots of money has been spent on them

Which makes me think of a few jokes I have heard from boat owners

You know what BOAT stands for, right? Bring Out Another Thousand.

Or how about this classic, the definition of the word boat – noun – 1. a hole in the water into which one throws money.

That all said I am sure it must be nice having a boat and being able to head out ontthe water whenever one wants

I havent been to P0pes island for a couple of weeks, but witht he temps starting to drop I am sure many have been taken out of the water by now

I too must be able to afford the small wood boat without an engine 😅
Have a great Friday

The boat is very beautiful, the view of the pier is no less beautiful. A great place to relieve stress.

Lots of pricey boats, but if they bought them one would have hoped they knew how bad the upkeep is on those things. I've never owned one and never will for that one reason. Beautiful place to walk around, I love marinas!

Nice day for taking these photos. I like when the sky and water blend together in a range of blue color.
