Popes Island Marina

Popes Island Marina

Good Morning and have a great day,

those that follow me will know that most of the walks I take are early morning before and as the sun rise,s well this post and the walk where i took these photos is one of the exceptions, when the Nao Trindad replica ship visited Popes Island Marina, I went and checked it out..

Its one of the few times one can enter the marina if not being either a member or with a member, so as well as taking a few shots of the Nao Trinidad I took a few shots of other boats in the marina

Startign with this shot on one of the piers in the marina looking across at some of the commercial fishing boats and some people in small boat heading off somewhere

Some real nice boats docked there, all well out of my budget

It was a bright day and a challenge getting photos at this time but I was happy to have got a few I thought were keepers and worth editing and sharing

Was kind of funny, being out during the day without my tripod and remembering to adjust settings to catch OK shots in the middl eof the day with bright light quite different than my early morning walks

I love boats and marinas. They are so great for photography. And something about them is so peaceful.

So true, and I bet that you will faint if you see how much it costs monthly to store the yachts in there.
I know that it is very expensive over here. !LOLZ

Same here, and if I had the money, I would rather buy a mobile home to tour around.

I am of the same line of thought, crusining around in a motor home would be the way to see the country in my mind

One of my wife's cousins did exactly that. He is fairly well off, and so he rented out his house, and bought a mobile home. That was 4 years ago, and he is still out touring now.

WOW that must be an amazing experience for them

I did look at prices of them and they are not cheap

Oh yes, they live a very adventurous life.
Not cheap no, but once bought, they have special prices at the places where they stop, and their house rental income covers all of the expenses.
But you are right, as one has to get the money to buy one first.

being out during the day without my tripod

Morning blue shots with long exposure and stabilized with your tripod are definitely your signature shots. There are some very nice blues in these mid-day shots too thanks to a clear blue sky and smooth water.

Yeah since my wife has health issues I don’t like going out much during the day and since I am early riser and she sleeps in morning walks for me are best

Nice diagonal lines in the shots with the boats. I also like the one with the dock!
