Morning blues

Morning blues

Good Morning all I hope all is well

those that follow me on here know I love my early morning walks starting while it is dark and through the blue hour and sunrise, and as much as I love when I am blessed to see a gorgeous colorful sunrise I do enjoy the peace and tranquility of the early morning and the morning blues, perhaps that is why blue is my favorite color, for close to 50 years now I have bene getting up well before day break and heading out often, for bike rides runs and swims in my teens and nowadays for photo walks, i find when out for a walk at that time i do my best thinking, clear my head and am the most relaxed and calm at these times

So today I thought i would share a few shots taken during the early morning blue hour
Starting with this shot taken on Popes Island

and up on the Harbor walk,

for those that do not know the term the blue hour

The blue hour which in itself is a misconception as it seldom is anywhere close to an hour long doesn’t even come close to lasting a full hour. In reality, what photographers call the blue hour really only lasts about 20 minutes.
The blue hour generally lasts the 20 to 30 minutes just after sunset and just before sunrise. For example, if the sun sets at 5 p.m., the blue hour would last from approximately 5:10 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.. If the sun rises at 5 a.m., the blue hour lasts from about 4:30 a.m. to 4:50 a.m.

The exact timing of the blue hour will vary from location to location and change depending on time of year and air quality.
and called the blue hour as when the sun is below the horizon and the blue wavelenghts of light tend to be dominant

The blue hour misconception came to end. Even I was not aware of this term but I got to know about this term. There is no doubt, humans are constantly in learning phase. These clicks are beautiful.

All the photography looks very beautiful because everything is silent in the morning which looks very beautiful. I like the morning weather so much that I wake up early and walk around which helps keep me healthy. Such an environment in the morning is actually very beautiful.

That's for the great info! I have heard of golden hour before, but not blue hour. That is very interesting. I can definitely see why they call it that now. Fantastic shots as always!

Great morning blues. I like that second shot where the sky and the ocean are almost exactly the same color 👍

Without a doubt, the best time for a walk is hours before dawn, when the entire landscape turns blue. Walking in environments like these is vital to clarify thoughts and organize ideas
What beautiful shots, I appreciate that you have shared these pleasant moments with us.
Have a great day

I think I am part of the five o'clock in the morning club, the moments before dawn are the most productive, I concentrate better with all the silence and I take the opportunity to make progress in my work from home before going to work at the shop.

first time I read you, and I love that you have left a learning, something that I have noticed when I wake up early and watch as I look out my bedroom window when I wake up. But I didn't know it had a specific term. thanks for the explanation.

What beautiful shots! Blue hour by the water out east is gorgeous. It's been too many years since I've done that! I used to love to go out early at Cape May, NJ at that time of morning, beautiful!

Morning walks and taking pictures are so cool. Do they make you day better? If you take some pictures like these? The photos are amazing and I love the reflection on the water.
