Moody by the port

Moody by the port

I mostly share photos from nice days when I go for walks, but I generally try to head out for walks most days, well used to and will do again possibly in the new Year.
so it means some days when i head out on days when the weather is not exactly ideal for photos sometimes i just walk, but sometimes even on a gloomy days some things catch my eye and I get the camera out and thats what I decided to share today some photos of a visit to the port one morning when it was very gloomy and foggy.

This first shot is from where I generally park the car when I d a visit down to the port. at this stage you could hardly see much at all other than the shine of the lights around the port
starting with a mainly mono image with a touch of color, or should I say a speck of color

but I still walked around the piers the fog coming and going as I did passing by a couple of the commercial fishing boats

and as always I walked by the Nantucket Lightship and took a shot, was doing a mono edit and then decided to keep the reds of the ship

the American Star cruise ship was in port, stopping overnight on a cruise along the New England Coast
Another almost all mono edit

and to finish off another of the fishing boats, it may look like the sun is shining behind it through the fog but its actually lights on the boat

And that’s all folks

Thanks for your visit

Yes fog and gloomy days don't always mean no photos

Awesome shots! Very moody indeed! I am actually a little surprised the light ship was still in dock given how foggy it was! I know how annoying it is to drive in the fog, I can't imagine navigating a boat or ship in that!

Cheers
The lightship is permanently in port these days it is no longer in a service

These photos make me think of a crime movie. Big deal going down on the waterfront. 😂

Very cool!
I go back and forth, some times, I am in the mood for a mono edit, and sometimes, I slip in a selective color. Usually, it's a bright red or sometimes it's a bright blue.

The fog gives the photos a mystery as if something is expected to happen and come out from the water.

Having pictures like this is a prove that they are real life events and yes, the weather is not clear everyday yet doing our daily activities won't be stopped. I remember working as a deckhand on board. These photos reminds me of those good old days.
