Mono Monday some random images
Mono Monday some random images
I hope you all had a good weekend, and wishing you all a good week ahead.
As I usually do I am starting the week of posts with a few mono images.
When I start thinking about preparing a Mono Monday post, I start by looking through my edited photos and seeing what shots I have already edited in mono, then I would normally pick one or two and then go and look for some similar shots to edit and have a theme for a post.
But today I am doing something a bit different as I found a few images I had already edited and realized I had a bunch that I doubt I would ever come up with a few more of the type of any of them, and that I would either never get around to sharing them, or I should just put a bunch of them together in a post which is exactly what I am going to do.
This first shot is of one of the green houses in a small gardens that are open to the public here called Haskell Gardens.
I took shots looking into each of the three or four greenhouses there, the others had plants growing in them and nice greens so I couldn't bring myself to edit them in mono, but this Greenhouse as you can see is empty and I think makes for a cool mono shot

Next up why not a shot of my camera which I use to take most of the photos I share in my posts

And a Kiwifruit
Now you may be thinking why I am I saying Kiwifruit and Not Kiwi alone as it is called here, well let me tell you
this fruit was originally called Chinese Gooseberry, and in parts of New Zealand it grows really well and the board that markets it and ships them around the world, decided many years ago to call them Kiwifruit, as a Kiwi is a Bird indigenous to NZ and also the name people from NZ call themselves.
However they never trade marked the name and now it is grown as Kiwi Fruit and Kiwi in many countries.
They did a few years back try to change the name for NZ grown Kiwifruit to Zespri, I have no idea how they came up with that name and it never took off.

Finally! You remember to take a photo of your versatile camera and share with us.
It is good to see it and surprisingly it is a Sony product. One of my favorites.
LOL yeah I should probably have done this earlier,
I have used a variety of camera a film Olympus back in the 70's then when I got back into photograph starting with Fujifilm, then Pentax and now Sony which I have had a few and love
I know of the Olympus. They are one of the best camera producers out there.
Ohh yeah I loved the first camera I had an OM1 I had it for a few years till it got lost/stolen in a move, then I didnt get back into photography for a couple of decades
Oh, sorry about that.
I never had anyone but I admire the outcome of the shots people usually get from it.

Your mono shots edits are beautiful and I totally love the randomness, hehe, it kept me expecting what to see next and as always, you didn't disappoint.
I loved the last one more, it just transcends peace to me and of course that of the object that does all of these wonders, hehe.
LOL I normally try for a theme but maybe its good to throw in a random post now and again
Thanks for your feedback I find it great hearing which shots people prefer
Yeah, it's a great idea to put in some randomness every now and then to give that different feel.
You're always welcome JJ, I'm happy you appreciate that 🥰
Cheers have a great day

Have a good one you too
I do love post apocalyptic movies and books. Maybe that is why I enjoy mono shots of abandoned places so much.
Definitely a great idea to start the week out here sharing neat ones like that.
I on other hand are not so into those types of movies but I am enjoying doing mono edits
nice random photos @tattoodjay 😍 first feels so melancholic I love it!
Thanks kindly your support is appreciated
Have a great day
Funny story about the Kiwi fruit. I've seen Zespri in stores and wondered what the heck it was lol I like that first photo in mono. Mono is perfect for showing the inactivity and benign neglect of the green house in the winter.
👍🙂👍
Great cemara work 😇😇
That's a nice camera @tattoodjay , I thin k though with my fat fingers I would struggle having all the controls that close together on the top, I guess it is manageable when you get used to it?
For my hands which arent huge vet not small it feels good ;)
Nice one. 👍
Do you know what mechanism is on the first photo? It is for watering or something else?
I believe it is for opening some of the windows in the greenhouse
