Mono Monday random shots from recent walks
Mono Monday random shots from recent walks
Good Morning all I hope you had a good weekend and wishing you a good week
Well its Monday again and for me that means I am going to share some mono Images and again this week I looked through photos taken over the last week for some that would work well in Mono
Now last week I complained well maybe not complained but mentioned we had a very moody week with fog and lots of clouds
but i cannot complain about that this week, sure we did get some bad weather for a couple of days when Hurricane Lee passed by up the coast but we were very lucky it did not hit us.
but the other mornings I was pretty lucky, in fact a couple of days it rained overnight, but stopped about the time I like heading out for my morning walks.
So if anything the challenge this week was to find photos I thought would look good in mono and that was a little challenge as so many were nice colorful images and editing to mono would have been a shame, but I found a few so here I go
I think this one was the day before the storm came out way, was some moody clouds but still a nice morning, I love this old swing bridge and often feel it works best in mono

and this next shot is down the port, I know in mono the sky looks very moody but that's actually deceiving it was a very nice morning for a walk

This next shot is one of the mornings when the rain stopped about the time i like heading out, and I decided to head to the historic district here in New Bedford and see if I could get some cool shots of the cobblestones with a glisten after the rain, I have also prepared a post of the cobblestone streets in color, not sure if I will share it before or after this one

This is a shot taken on the cove walk, built on top of the Hurricane Barrier wall, as it happened just after I took this shot it started to rain, quickly put my camera into my bag and walked back to my car, which is at the end of the wall you see in this shot, just as I got to the car the rain stopped, mother nature playing games with me

And finishing off with this shot another day when the rain stopped and I headed out for an early morning walk by the pier

It's good that they didn't have any problems with Hurricane Lee and that the rains allowed us to go for a walk to take these beautiful monochromatic shots.
What beautiful places you chose to walk and what beautiful shots you have taken.
I take this opportunity to wish you a happy start to the week.
Storm approaching above with swing bridge below and interesting capture, is the raised box structure on the bridge a hut for an operator?
Washed clean the photography crisp and clear!
Funny how the world looks older in black and white. Every shot looks like its from a history book. Maybe because all the old photos were in black and white when I was a kid.
Las fotos se ven increible, como algo antiguo,me encanta sus fotos.
And again, very beautiful and cool photos from you. I especially liked the last two very much.
Such a wonderful place, love these mono effects ❤👍
Your photos were fantastic and I think you captured them beautifully.
thanks so much and may the rest of your week go well
