Mono monday from a recent walk from the port into the historic district
Good Morning, another week begins may it be a good one for you
As I tend to do I am sharing a few mono images today from a recent walk starting at the Port and heading into the historic District here in New Bedford.
I may well share a few color images from this walk as my Wednesday walk post this week, as For a few reasons I had almost a week where I didnt get out for walks till I took this walk yesterday.
When I visit this area I park at the portits a car park, for the port, a Restaurant that is there, and a small clam shack by the water, her eis the view near where I was parked

I had a few issues yesterday, firs tof, my tripod was very gunked up I guess opening the legs to use it was a real challenge, but I ended up being able to, I suspect since I spend so many walks on beaches sand had got into it, I thought i may have to buy a new one, but I tried cleaning it up and lubricating it a bit and it seems to be fine now,, will see how it works on my next couple of outings

The next issue I had is the remote control I use for my camera wasnt working I suspetc the battery dies, I will pick up new batteries today, now I can use the camera without the remote, but early morning with long exposures and since i often take three shots at differetn exposures, called exposure bracketing, using a remote reduces the chance of moving the camera as you are clicking onthe remote and not ppressing the shutter button on the camera.
So I did mess up and had a few shots that were blurry and not usable, but also got some OK shots
but speaking of blurry shots this next one is a result of me taking a long exposure and standing onthe road, and a car came along so I had to move off the street, I kind of think its funky and cool

and when in this area I always catch a shot of this building the JJ Best Banc, since most people call me JJ

They are stunning photos, it's great the tripod works perfectly as you lubricate it, none of those photos blur 🥰🙏

You're welcome.
That shot with all of the light trails is awesome. It came out great. I'm glad the tripod had a cheap fix, did the remote end up being batteries? Great monochromes!
yeah glad I didnt need to buy a new tripod and yes batteries was the issue working good now
Fun to see the motion captured in the long exposures. I like the one where a car came by... but really like the flowing look of the fountain shot.
