Mono Monday at the Zoo

Mono Monday at the Zoo

Good Morning another week begins and may it be a good one for you

Well I say the week begins but being retired that becomes less of a factor the days all are kind of the same, the only thing that makes a week day sort of relevant is if we have a Doctors appointment which of course doesnt happen on weekends.

I do tend to wonder off when I write posts so I apologise I just type where my mind takes me, sometimes I stop and think why did I waffle on about this or that and delete it, or at others I just thing its not so bad and leave it, but lets get tot he post

As i tend to do on Mondays I am sharing a few images in MOno, this week from a viist to the Buttonwood Park Zoo

Starting with a shot of the two horses there, I am no expert on hoorses but to me they look fairly old

A little bit about the zoo

The Buttonwood Park Zoo, located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, is a zoo located in the center of Buttonwood Park. Opened in 1894, it is the third-oldest zoo in New England and the 12th-oldest zoo in the United States. Located on a 7 acres (2.8 ha) campus, the zoo is owned and operated by the City of New Bedford, with the support of the Buttonwood Park Zoological Society. It is located on part of the Buttonwood Park Historic District, and federally designated on the National Register of Historic Places.

The zoo is home to more 250 different animals made up of more than 80 different species of animals, including many that are rare and endangered

Hello dear friend @tattoodjay happy start of the week
It's very true what you say, when you are active every day, the weekends become normal days

What a beautiful way to start the week, looking at beautiful monochrome photographs

Red pandas are so awesome. The one at the zoo in Ohio I have visited is very shy though. That photo of the Bald Eagle is amazing! Very well done!

All your portraits are good but I'm more interested in the bear's style, pretend not to know anything

I was holding out hope for some zebras in there! lol Great shots! Those horses are not on the younger side for sure. The eagle came out great in B&W and did the red panda. Zoos are always fun, I ought to visit more often here but the nicest one is San Diego and it's a two hour drive in traffic to get there. Then the zoo is all uphill... I'm starting to sound like an old man who used to have to walk to school barefoot, in six feet of snow, and uphill both ways....
