Market Friday the new Lens

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I am going to talk about the new Lens I bought a month ago and have only used twice the Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens for Sony E.

Lulu had a couple of good nights sleep, well better nights sleep, and hence I did as well, so when she was taking a nap yesterday morning I did a quick visit to Buttonwood park and the pond to get some shots for this post, which I will share later in the post.

The photos of the lenses are all taken with my phone

Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens for Sony E
And you may wonder what all the letters stand for so here goes

50-400mm thats the zoom Range of the lens, the last couple of photos may make that clearer

f/4.5-6.3, thats the minimum Aperture or how much light the lens lets in, not the fastest of lens but for what I plan to use it for it will work for me

Di III - Di-III lenses are engineered specifically for mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. They adopt an optical design that matches the characteristics of the digital camera.

VC Vibration Compensation, this is Tamron's in lens Image Stabilization technology

As you can see it has three modes of VC namely
VC MODE 1 is the standard mode that strikes a great balance between the stability of the viewfinder image and the stabilization effects.
VC MODE 2 is exclusively used for panning.
VC MODE 3 prioritizes the stabilization of the captured images and forgoes the stabilization of the viewfinder image.
I don't often do panning so mine will mostly be set to mode 1

VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) a linear motor focus mechanism that delivers excellent quietness and agile performance, thereby producing a high level of autofocusing speed and precision

It also has a customizable button with three settings for it, the button is on the left and the right switch is to change what the button does, I havent set that up yet but will do soon

This is my third Tamron lens, I find they work very well and are reasonably priced and cheaper than the Sony equivalents, infact I found out when registering it with Sony, that now having three of their lenses I am or will be in 2023 considered a VIP Tamron member, but haven't looked into what that means.

These are the three lens I will most often walk around with these days on the left the 17-28 zF2.8 Lens, in the middle the 28-75 F2.8 Lens and the new 50-400 on the right

Added a couple of other lens that will occasionally go in my bag, depending on where I am heading on the far left the Sony 90MM macro Lens, and next to it the ttArtisan 11mm Wide angle lens

Now the 50-400 is a bigger lens and not light but a lot smaller than my Sony 200-600 lens which I use when going out hoping to get shots of birds, specifically, that one is big and heavy so I don't carry it with me all the time

And as promised at the start a couple of shots taken with the lems, first looking across the pond at 50mm

And then to show the zoom this shot is at 400mm of the swan

I took a few more shots and if time permits I will edit those today and share soon

But from the couple of times I have tried it out I am very happy with it, its a good lens, and very versatile both with the large zoom range and the ability to be walking along and use it as a semi macro lens when needed or quickly zoom in if a bird flies by will come in handy

And that’s all folks

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Love seeing a few photos from you 👍 I'm sure it feels good to get out. And I'm sure Lulu is doing a bit better for you to be out so that is even better 🙂 I like the 50mm to 400mm comparison. I would be interested in seeing a 400mm to 600mm comparison. I max out at 200mm right now and want to get a longer lens.

That's a huge lens.. Actually, I don't have much idea about lenses but I think they're awesome. It's obvious from that pond you captured with those birds.

By the way, good thing lulu had a nice sleep.

Nice picks on the new lens! You should have many hours of good fun with that one! I don't see you ever getting tired of the view! I appreciate you going all through the lens like that, it is something I don't do, but, should. It is a challenge when you are first starting to navigate lenses to learn what all these things mean. Thank you! You have some real power in your camera bag!

The shot of the swan is a good example of what you can do!!! I'm excited for you!

I forget that most people probably do their photos with a cell phone. (which by the way I did on one of my camping trips) and have they come a long way in quality! I would say that a lot of people wouldn't even know the difference. I still like the camera if given the choice, but, now, there are more options!

With all that you have going, I appreciate you joining the challenge this week! I am happy to hear that Lulu is getting some sleep. Any is great right about now - and you as well. And photos! Thank you!!! Well wishes, thoughts and prayers to both of you!

hank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive or cheap? Did it go up or down? Please do not post 30 pictures with no words about them.Do not use pictures more than once in a post!
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess on some
    4. #MarketFriday must be your first tag.
Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
    5. PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  4. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.
As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

Wow, who knew that they were actually making smart lenses now! I guess it has been so long since I did any camera shopping that I don't know half of what is out there these days. I think it is pretty cool that they have features like that built right into the lens. We certainly have come a long way from just a couple of mirrors in a tube!

Such a cool set of lenses you have @tattoodjay thanks for showing us.
Also the range of the 2 captures.

Good to hear she had a few better nights and so you too. And you could go out for a moment to walk and capture some shots.
Take care and all the best, hope more days will be better 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤗
Enjoy your day further.

With the ease of cameras available in mobile these days, I think only photographers know what it means to have lenses.

I never knew lenses are that giant in appearance. Carrying them with you all the time would certainly be not easy. May I know how much weight you usually carry with you 🤔.

The shots are really nice

Oh wow, nice collection of lenses, I don't know anything about them so am learning. All I use is my cell phone camera. Both pictures looking magnificent and I can't wait to see more of what the new lens can do. As always wishing Lulu a quick recovery and both of you a wonderful weekend ahead, thank you for sharing :]

Looks great. Nice to see some quality with a bit of a break on the price. I am going to be adding it to my Santa wish list.

Sorry for the late comment but I was out of town when you posted this.
