Its Monday than means a Mono Monday post for me
Its Monday than means a Mono Monday post for me
Well another work week is beginning, well for most people, being retired the days all sort of feel the same, but I still think of Monday as the start of the work week, I guess old habits die hard, and add to that week days are when we have appointments for things and picking up the grand daughter a few days a week, so there is still a difference between week days and weekends.
And as I tend to do on a Monday I am starting the week with some mono images ( mostly) these are all fairly recently taken photos
When I visited the Haskell gardens I saw this cool tap on a hose and had to snap a shot or two of it, never seen a tap like that but I thought it was so cool, I wouldn't mind getting one for our outside hose thingy at our place.

Next up was as I was walking out to Palmers Island again here in New Bedford and I noticed these big Cranes being setup, as I understand it they are going to be used to setup some wind Turbines

And this is why I said almost Mono in the post, I noticed of recent I have been editing many of my images in Black and white and not so much other shades so I thought I would slip in this color shot which almost has a mono feel to it

Next up I am at the port, just one of the ropes used to tie up the ships when they come in, but it caught my eye and I feel it worked well in Mono

and to finish off the post I slip in another shot of the Tall Sail ship

And that’s all folks

Is true, mono does not need to be black and white!
I always love seeing your water side pictures and the boats. You find good angles for them. And yeah, that spout handle is pretty epic.
Great shots again my friend. I had to look twice at the tap handle to see that is what it was. Love the look of the weathered hydrangea too as it does have a monomad look.
Solid.

Pretty cool shots. And I must agree that that's a cool tap.
The third photo doesn't only give that mono feel but also tranquil feel and warming.
