fall colors at the Acushnet Sawmill

Good morning wishing you all a good day

the last couple of years I have not had a lot of luck with catching fall colors, but recently i have had some luck seeing and photographing some lovely warm fall colors

One morning i had bene out for a sunrise walk, when I got a call from our son that he needed a loan of something and I offered to drop it off to him at his work, after I had done that I realized I was quite close to the Acushnet Sawmill and decided to swing by there and check out how the colors were and i must say I was glad I did the colors were gorgeous and I will say I feel even nicer than my photographs show.

Forecasters had predicted muted colors this year, but Mother Nature does not listen to the forecasters, and the colors were so warm and beautiful

The reds and oranges especially really were popping, and i love them even more with the nice reflections.
The skies were a little moody but I kind of like that it contrasts with the lovely fall colors

You may not notice a couple of swans in the water

I wasn't there to long as I wanted to make sure I was back home before my wife woke up, but did walk to a few spots in the Park, blown away by the lovely warm colors

I did catch some nice colors a couple of days later in another spot and will share those soon

Very calming and beautiful autumn colors. Well captured, sir. I did a lot recently but most were taken from car as I was delivery driving, no where near as great as yours. Soon bare trees and snow 😳

Beautiful colors and I did notice the swans... they add a nice touch. I like reflections with one or two things on the waters surface to remind you its there.

With the change in climate at home, there has been a lot of green to no leaves falling and no longer enough time to change color. The tree called the beech in my region has already lost its leaves due to drought. Whereas before it gave us beautiful orange and yellow colors.

What a delightful collection of fall photos! I was just checking on the photos of @phortun and now I see you also shared some stunning ones.

It's amazing how Mother Nature can surprise us by painting the world with warm and vibrant colors.

Wow, those are some great shots. My wife and I just got back from Vermont and it did feel like the colors were muted up that way. We got back to Michigan and I said man, I think the colors are actually better here.

These are spectacular photos! They also trigger memories of way back when....I lived in Georgetown, MA a long time ago. And my memories of those times are always filled with autumnal colours. At the bottom of our garden was a river. Where it pooled against our banks we would skate in winter. But before then, oh those beautiful trees in all their reds, oranges and yellow glory. Funnily enough in summer I would canoe on the river passed a very old sawmill. Happy memories.
