Daffodil Fields

Daffodil Fields

This post is a follow on post from my Wednesday Walk Post yesterday where I shared the trail I took to these fields, and todays post will show the fields themselves

I was lucky in that it had rained in the early morning before I went there but stopped around 7Am, which brought out the nice fresh colors of all the Daffodils.

As I said yesterday I enjoyed the trail that leads up to these fields and would happily walk up it other times of year when the daffodils are not in bloom.

Its quite a large field of Daffodils and I took shots in various spots which I hope show both how big and how beautiful the fields are on the day I visited them

ITs a very well maintained trail and fields, maintained by the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT) which is a nonprofit, accredited land trust. Since 1971, DNRT has helped protect more than 5,000 acres of land and maintain more than 35 miles of hiking trails in Dartmouth.

The name of the spot is Parsons Reserve

This next shot and a few others in this post were taken with my ttArtisan 11MM ultra wide angle lens, which is a manual lens and I didnt keep notes of the settings so hence why in the photo information I have put the aperture as F?

I went there at about 7:30 in the morning, and I only saw three other people while I was there so the only sounds were the sounds of nature ie the breeze and the birds chirping

I may have got a little carried away tweaking up the greens and yellows in some of these edits, but they did seem so bright and lush to my eyes while I was there

And walking further around the trails

As you can see there was a Mix of warm yellow and white daffodils

And that’s all folks

You really had us guessing since yesterday! Well done...lol!

This is beautiful! What I find amazing is the trees in these Daffodil fields.

I am used to the idea that whenever you see fields of flowers such as this, that is all you see...the flowers. Maybe the odd tree planted here or there, but it's either or... You either see fields of flowers, or you see a forest (or plantation) of trees.

To me, these trees within the fields of flowers are giving it a special character...a special atmosphere.

isnt this place so beautiful I loved visiting there especially after is had been raining earlier it really brough out the colors

and yes so true about the trees they do add to this place I had not really thought about it till you mentioned it, but yes most flower fields I have seen in my travels are just flowers

have a great day

I have already said wow on IG, and I say it again: Wow 🤩
I know large bluebells and wild garlic fields in in the UK and also here, much smaller though, but I have never seen daffodil fields in a woodland area - so lovely, JJ 😊

I think the fact they were in a wooded area with trees all around did make this field special

I have seen bluebell fields in the UK but never the garlic fields

I did see a notification of your WOW on Instagram, but havent been on there yet

The garlic fields are much green leaves and white blossoms. When I see such here it's usually only a few flowers or even more, but never like your daffodil fields. Maybe I am on the wrong places though 😉

Never mind IG, I don't do much there.

Wow! I read yesterday's (and never got to comment!) and was so sure you were going to be close to the park that was donated to the city. The obvious choice, I should have known better!

This is so beautiful, mostly because of the natural setting! I love how it is in the woods, edging along the path with the different varieties. Aren't daffodils such a happy incidence to spring? They even keep them divided pretty nicely, giving it a sweeping look.

This was fun and I don't think I could have been any more wrong, but, next time... yes... it is possible I could be even more wrong! :)

Exquisite shots! I love how well kept the wandering paths are kept! Your lens works wonderful (as does the operator!) I look forward to the closer-up shots also!

Have a lovely rest of your day!

The Mulch on the paths looked very fresh I suspected just refreshed inthe last few days, and after the rain earlier that morning the natural colors were really shining out so beautifully

Whoa - look at all those daffodils... that's amazing! It really does look like a nice and well-maintained walk there. Wonder how it's going to look like when the daffodils are gone and the trees are green? I'm sure you'll show us in a couple of months 😀
