A few of my favorite spots

A few of my favorite spots

When I started preparing this post, I found a few photos some recent and not so recent that I had not shared so I thought to do a post with a few random shots of some of my favorite spots to head to for a morning walk.
But then I take a twist from that plan with the first two shots in this post which were taken in the last few days

In my Wednesday walk post this week I said how I was in Rhode Island and mentioned a bridge and how I wanted to get some shots of it, well that was the Sakonet River Bridge and I did go with a plan of getting shots of it, but haven't found a good spot for that yet, but I did find a spot to get shots of the Mt Hope bridge Which I start this post with

i do have more shots of it, but haven't edited them yet so it will get a post on its own sometime as will the Braga bridge which I also visited the other day which is in fall River and a cool old bridge that is lit up blue at night, but not when I was there, apparently from talking to a local taking a walk they lights on the bridge turn off sometime between 4 and 5 AM and I got there about 5:45AM

As you can see its a cool bridge, the round building under it houses a Carousel, and you may note some Navy ships which are part of a place called Battleship Cove which I have not explored as yet

Some more photos of the Bridge, the Park and the ships will come in future posts, so I guess I am starting this post with a bit of a teaser

Now back to my original plan for this post, some shots of some of my favorite spots for walks, but I must say after the Visit to the Fall River heritage state park, that could well be another favorite spot of mine and I will be heading back there.

Starting with a Shot of Fort Rodman in Fort Tabor Park in New Bedford

And of course if you have followed me for a while I do love the Harbor walk on top of the Hurricane Barrier wall

and at the end of the Harbor walk the Pier

And walking around the Cisco Restaurant, When the walkway is wet I think it looks picturesque

And another spot I love visiting Buttonwood Park, after some recent rain the level of the pondis better but still lower than usual

And that’s all folks

So beautiful 😍😍, the bridges look so nice, and the one with a building underneath it was the best for me and of course the images of the clouds.

JJ you are so damn good at editing these shots, kudos to you 👏.

The pier and the walkway photos are really cool. The walkway seems like it should have a philosophical quote attached. The walkway leading to the vast ocean and infinite sky. Your future is unknown? Your future is limitless? something like that... I also really like the bridge photos. When I liked near San Francisco, the bay area is so defined by its two bridges - the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge.

That’s a cool idea for such a quote

I would love to see those bridges you mentioned one day

Imagine being there with your dear ones, counting starts, millions of them. A soft drink in one hand and holding your love in another, sharing the moments of peacefulness as night falls, less noise to be distracted by, a few nocturnal birds flying past the lake or the creatures in the water stirring up the soft waves breaking against the shore, sometimes you are dipping your toes in the water and feeling the chilly water.... Ah, such a splendid moment to enjoy.

I hope you have enjoyed it too in the same way or another and i bet those memories are the favourite ones.

Thank you sharing those cool photos with us, they make me feel more grateful towards the benevolent One.

Cheers.

These spots are just so amazing. Feels like a place to clear one's mind. I really like places like this especially when my mom get me paranoid.
It's a pleasant view.

I will definitely ask questions how do you take such a perfect picture and how do you make it tell a story because your photograph tells a lot of story.

I guess the answer to that is any questions for framing the photo
And there are twice things I would say to on that

When your framing the photo lol 😆 l at different perspectives and see what pleases your eye best not the full view but what your seeing on the phone or camera

Secondly look up the rule of thirds

That first bridge is pretty awesome. Very nostalgic for me. Reminds me of the Mackinac that we have up here. Very beautiful shots. I like the edits you did on these a lot. The soft lights on the water really works well.

Your views of favorite places is epic! I am reluctant to pick a favorite of your favorites because they truly all have something special in them. I love harbors and nautical, but, none as much as New Englands. :) I know, how narrow-minded of me, right?

The colors are amazing and you have done such a great job of finding the best view. As easy as that sounds, I can tell you from my own experience, it is really NOT! It looks so different from the road too.

I love the Fall River Carousel !! If I HAD to pick a favorite! I still have cousins living in Fall River and they said it was (of course) closed during Covid. I am sure that brought a price to them. It was a fun place to go to!! I was told they put an ice cream shop in there too. It sounds worth an investigation! Before October sometime - like many of the water places, it probably closes for the winter. Who knows? We live in a different world now.

Thank you!! A magical peek at the beauty!
