a few buildings around the city
a few buildings around the city
Often while walking in the early morning catching primarily shots of the colors of sunrise over the water, but now and again looking other directions and getting shots and I noticed I had a few shots of various buildings around the city I could share in a post and here it is
Starting with the Bourne Counting house

ON the other side of this building which sadly I did not get a shot of there is one of the windows which juts out a bit thats where the owner of many of the fishing fleet back in the whaling days would site and keep track of ships coming in and out and updating the records of the fleet
The Bourne Counting house is the only remaining building on the New Bedford wharf that was built in the 1800s (1847). The owner was Edward Merrill, but the building got its current name due to its use as a counting house by wealthy whaling merchant Jonathan Bourne until the 1880s. A counting house is simply the term used for an office where a business carries out its daily operations, often in regards to accounting and other financial matters.
The Bourne Counting House is currently zoned for office space.
and next up is the Elm Street Parking Garage in Downtown here in New Bedford, and inn this light it looks kind of dull I guess, but as I have shared shots taken from the top level of it a couple of times I thought I would share a shot of it

That one with the old building and the paved streets is pretty awesome. Probably my favorite of this batch. Are those row houses single family units or have they split them up into multi unit apartments?
yeah that one is my fav as well, and those buildings are often three different floors and hence multi family places perhaps owned by one and the other floors rented out
Okay, that makes sense and kind of what I expected.
Quite a colorful evening 👍 !PGM
