Threading And Work: Combining The Two

We are seeing some interesting things evolving. It is funny how things unfold.

Most on Hive are not using this as their primary source of income. Obligations means that we have other commitments, i.e. jobs. This is simply the way things are.

Hopefully, Hive will end up like Bitcoin or some of the other early coins. They created many millionaires simply through appreciation. It took years but it did happen.

In the meantime, the bills still have to be paid.

We also know that most online are not long-form content creators. Writing a 750-1,500 word essay is not their cup of tea. If we look at what is on social media, very little of it (as a percentage) fits into that category.

Twitter is designed to be short thoughts so obviously that is disqualified although Elon Musk is adding it to the platform. TikTok excels because of shorts. Facebook is really a cesspool of who knows what. Obviously, the Medium-type platforms are focused upon blogging but they trail a great deal in the social media race.

This is one of the reasons why LeoThreads is so interesting, If is providing people with an opportunity to be a part of something that is not the traditional blogging model.

Combining Work And Threading

Here is an example of how things changed. Many of us had our mouths watering over the creations created and shared on Threads. He obviously is in the food industry, making enticing dishes.

Throughout the day, we are graced with the goods, at least in picture form.

What we have is a prime example of someone sharing what takes place throughout the day. This is what social media is about, at least to some degree. So even when working a job full time, there is the ability to share content.

Of course, not all have this degree of freedom while at work. For example, it might not be best for prison guards or airline pilots to start snapping pics of events that happen when they should be focused upon work. That said, when on break or out for a few minutes, there could be opportunities.

We often discuss the idea of dedication and commitment to Hive. For those who are not in a position to hang out and post content throughout the day, there are other avenues to pursue. In addition to LeoThreads there are applications such as Liketu that also provide the ability to add content throughout the day.

Whatever your flavor, LeoThreads is open for posting. Since it is general purpose, whatever floats your boat can be put up there. Like Twitter, it doesn't even have to be a picture. What is on your mind throughout the day?

We all know that platforms of that nature are rarely epicenters of insightful thought. Once in a while people post deep insights but it is a rarity. Nevertheless, a quick thought throughout the day, of 240 characters is not the difficult.

Hive Is Turning Into An Epicenter For Content Creators

Hive is expanding. We are seeing more options arising. This means that those who are serious about engagement will find the tools at their disposal.

This is a stark difference from a few years ago. Those of us who were around at the end of the last bull market (2017-2018) know how scarce the options were at that time. We had a few applications forming but they were MVPs that ultimate didn't go very far.

We are now at a different point. Quite frankly, there are few reasons not to engage. Not only are there Threads there are many different platforms which to access content and share it.

One of the keys to Hive is that it is social media. This seems to work best when people are social.

Most on Hive do not have all day to post on Hive. So we should take advantage when the opportunity presents itself.

The flexibility of Hive is growing.

I completely agree with you, we have many options for creating content, but certainly people being sociable, participating, voting and commenting is the best there is.

Most on Hive do not have all day to post on Hive. So we should take advantage when the opportunity presents itself.

Time is precious, for example sharing it with other hobbies and family, if you don't have time to post, we can use the threads now to generate faster content!

It was a great and great update.

Time is the one commodity we all have equal amounts of. Not really since some have longer life spans but you get my point.

I like the message here. Hive & LeoThreads is not replicating the same bull jive ad-infested, bot-saturated model that wrecked Reddit, IG, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

I'm still hoping a hive based Disord option can arise soon. I'm not into Twitter, or any other social media for that matter (outside of Hive, of course), but all of my Hive based activities end up being discussed in Discord. It's just the only option that works for what we need it for, but I'd love to see threads set up private channels we can use to conduct our business, so to speak, on chain, so we could better support each other.

Threads is an awesome step forward, and I'm excited to see where it goes, but, sadly, I haven't found much use for it yet. Of course, someday it will pro ably be an independent app with a perfected user experience, so there may be hope for me yet. I'm going back to work. I'll ttyl.
