The Race for Chat Bots Is On
We are racing ahead with artificial intelligence. This is where we see massive gains being made.
The reason is fairly simple: everyone is getting involved.
OpenAI (Microsoft) kicked it all off with the introduction of ChatGPT. This was a revolutionary breakthough, one that started people wondering about the potential for chat bots. Since that time, a few more updates were introduced which has stunned people.
So far, we are dealing with rather primitive AI. As impressive as it is, we are still dealing with search. This is taking what is out there and organizing it in a manner that fits the prompts that are posted.
That said, we are still early in this game.
Now, we are seeing even greater steps being taken.
Amazon Getting Into The Game
We have seen Elon Musk talk about AI and taking steps in that direction. Obviously, Microsoft is deep in it. Google is never far behind when it comes to this stuff. Neither is Facebook (Meta).
Now we have Amazon diving in to the tune of $4 billion.
Amazon Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has announced a strategic investment of up to $4 billion in Anthropic, an emerging AI company, as the e-commerce giant seeks to harness the potential of artificial intelligence in diverse applications across its business.
For those who are unaware, this is the platform called "Claude". It will now be part of Amazon.
No company wants to be left behind in this race. Amazon is known for its shopping platform along with its cloud serves, Amazon Web Services. No doubt the technology from this chat bot will be incorporated into all that it delivers.
This is a game that is heating up.
Exponential Growth
We are see a major transition happening before our eyes.
Even if this is not the path to AGI, or even advanced ANI, it does provide a great deal of utility. We already see this being integrated into search engines. Microsoft was the first to do it with Bing. Google is likely to follow with Bard (if they didn't do it already).
What gets exciting is the more people utilize these applications, the more developed they become. This is still a world dependent upon data. When people query the prompts, they are feeding the machine learning engine. Over time, we see improvement as natural language is learned.
This expands the possible use cases for the technology.
With so many companies diving into it, we cannot help but to realize how this is a foregone conclusion. The reality is these are the top data companies in the world. They have access to more than anyone else on the planet. At the same time, their platforms generate more on a daily basis than most have access to in total.
That means they are going to keep feeding more data in, enhancing the performance of the systems.
All of this is going to keep accelerating.

Artificial intelligence could become a hot bed for data as the technology mostly relies on it to grow and improve. Chatbots have a general utility that can be integrated into almost anything. Communication is a key part on most of the things we do.
This is absolutely true.
We need to start embracing what is happening so that we are at the forefront of it.
