Elon Inc: The Advantage To Have The Different Companies
We are seeing the "moats" tied to different industries starting to break down. This is what happens with technology.
In this video I discuss how Elon Musk has a series of companies, some of them interconnected. This is a certain advnatage to Tesla as other companies have to seek outside themselves to try and get what they need. In a technological world, this could be problematic.

Or... alternatively, Elon takes resources from Tesla (NVIDIA chips, staff) to help his other companies that are in the hypergrowth phase to the overall detriment of Tesla.
Hmm is that happening or are you grasping at straws?
Here is a report about Elon diverting Nvidia from Tesla to xAI. Obviously Tesla paid for the H100s going to xAI, and Nvidia said that xAIs original order would go to Tesla, but it's also possible that just... doesn't happen.
If I was a Tesla shareholder I'd be pretty annoyed that Tesla resources were being diverted to a private company.
Here is a report on Elon potentially using Tesla as a hiring ground for xAI and Neuralink.
Maybe it's all totally innocent and necessary, or maybe Elon sees far more potential profit for himself in xAI than Tesla given that Tesla is likely no longer in its hypergrowth phase while xAI might have extreme growth in its future... I have no idea but I'm honestly not expecting Elon to put Tesla at the top of his priority list at the moment.
We already saw this in Amazon, and it seems Elon is using it as a blueprint on how to handle his companies. What I think is interesting is that Elon's companies are largely different from each other, but he is connecting them with technology; mostly AI and robotics. He's putting a lot of eggs into this, so it will be interesting to see the payoff.
