LeoThreads Topping 2,000 Per Day

(Edited)

LeoThreads is less 48 hours old. We are seeing a lot more engagement as people are testing the new user interface out. Over the years, engagement was something that was lacking, overall, on Hive. There were times we saw some concerted efforts but they tended to fade over time.

Now, with LeoThreads, it looks like there might be some upward progression. The numbers are already starting to bear it out.

We have to remember that LeoThreads is in alpha, at least the new UI is. This is going to take a number of weeks before we see many features incorporated. Nevertheless, there are a number of users who are truly having a wonderful experience.

Over the past few months, we discussed how all of this leads into a growing number of transactions.

How are the numbers looking.

2,000 Threads Per Day

We are at the point where the numbers of Threads exploded. On the old UI, we were seeing 750-850 Threads per day on average. This is evidenced by the number of containers put forth by the LeoThread account.

As we can see, each container gets filled with about 1,000-1,000 comments before a new one is created. The above screenshot shows there was nothing new created between day 3 and 5. This shows how things slowed down.

Of course, the times were more than 24 hours appear. This is why there were gaps at times in the containers.

Here is what things look like of late.

The first entry tells the story. We see a container that was posted 7 hours ago and has 961 comments at the time of the snapshot. Here is the times of the containers on this image.

2/15 12:26 PM
2/14 9:26 PM
2/14 1:26 PM
2/13 6:55 PM
2/13 8:15 Am

Things started to take off the day before the launch. A number of us went into LeoThreads and added hundreds of comments. This has continued since the launch of the new UI.

As we can see, there are now two containers each day, each with over 1,000 comments. The last one is on pace for over 2,400 in a day.

We are now pushing the weekly equivalent to over 14,000.

This is a tremendous start.

Sustainability

When it comes to transactions, this is where we see a major increase. If we have 2 votes per Thread, on average, that means we are doing 6,000 transactions per day. This is how the numbers can get really big.

If we jump ahead, what will thinks look like with 10,000 Threads per day. That would be one container every 2 hours. Add in votes and we could see 30,000-40,000 transactions being added to Hive.

The question is where do things go from here?

Obviously, we want to discuss the idea of the numbers increasing. We have to be careful because people often try new things. The initial rush might be sustainable or we could see a quick reversal.

Here is where the challenge comes in.

One of the positives is there are a number of "superusers" on LeoThreads. They are going to keep the pace going. Engagement is key since people do not want to join something that is idle or dead.

LeoThreads with the new UI is off to a terrific start. Now we just have to take it to the next level. Hopefully the engagement will flow as more people find it an enjoyable experience.

With the speed that we can interact now, it is becoming addicting.

Project Black, Leo's New User Interface is really geared to threads and a pleasure to use. (other than a couple firefox bugs that are being worked on)

I just posted a review with some feedback and I sure hope others will too!

It's a fine time for me to rejoin the increased traffic and create a bit more of a traffic jam. 😉

Go Threads!

This is awesome . Even thought it still in alpha , everyone is already excited to explore it. I also going to jump it and joining the crowd . I cant imagine how much transaction it ll contribute to HIVE when the real stuff is out in future.

If we can keep this momentum, we will be breaking records in no time. Things will be very different when the final 'product' launches.

does it do anything from an seo/algorithm perspective or just for shits n giggles?

Now we just need to find a way to swap discord with an on chain equivalent and we're golden..😀
