Content Is Becoming More Important On Leo

Content is a vacuum is pretty worthless.

This should come as no surprise to anyone. It is the way we operated for years. One of the problems with Web 3.0 is the fact that information that goes in cannot really be found. Google does not index a lot of stuff, especially on Hive. When it does, it penalizes the results due to the fact that it is duplicated across many front ends.

This means it is up to us to set up the pathways that allow content to be found. It is a slow process but we are seeing some avenues constructed.

The latest focus is upon referrals. Since that program was covered in great detail, we will not go into it here. That said, we recently saw a change in how the links were built.

Here is what we see.

This means that, wherever we place LEO content, it will have the referral link tied to it. At least this is the case with Threads.

What is key is that every thread is part of this. For example, the thread that I embedded from @khaleelkazi has is code in it. If someone reads this article, clicks on the thread, and signs up, he gets the credit.

Of course, this is actually an ideal application to apply to shorts. When creating something that you think of interest, spread it around. Even if it isn't your short, if you like it, perhaps others will also.

If we place enough links out there, traffic can be generated.

More Content

Which brings me to the main point of this article.

When it comes to links, there is one way to provide ammunition to people: create more threads.

Over time, for those who understand the owner concept, they will see how this is just one path to long-term success. To get more links out there requires have them in the first place. This means starting to fill the database.

Again, shorts is an example of this. Many threads are not worth a great deal to others. Providing a link to a good morning thread means nothing.

However, if you do a 45 second video on something. that could be of interest to people on the outside especially if it is something funny or a topic commonly of interest.

Which brings me to future pathways.

We spoke a great deal about recommend engines. This is something that can feed people to the content created simply by putting it in front of them.

When putting out a thread such as a short, if someone clicks on it because they like the content, the recommend engine can suggest other shorts that are similar. If an individual focuses upon a certain area, this could be their stuff.

Think Like An Owner

The problem with the approach many have is they only think of a one off. What I mean by this is what can I produce today that gets seen. That is the major focus.

Again, much of this comes from the system itself. There is not much use in something that is more than a day or two old since it is never seen. When it comes to threads, most of them are buried after a few minutes.

However, if the tools are built, this means that we can start the process of having more views arriving in our older content.

Consider the idea of running your own media company or content business. If you were doing this on your own server, what would you do? Would you simply create stuff that had a short shelf life?

The answer is no, not if you wanted to be successful.

Unfortunately, not all the tools are available now. We are still rather limited in how things operate on this platform. It is slow in changing but it is moving in the right direction.

After a while it becomes a numbers game. Getting more into the database only works to the advantage of the creator. This is no different than traditional social media where people have years of content that keeps showing up in front of people.

It all starts with creating it.

The issue of content visibility on this platform needs to be well tackled. As you said, progress is slow, nevertheless if it tilts to the right direction then its much better. There are a lot of quality content on this chain that become obsolete in a day or two, I guess this is really a limitation.
About 'shorts on inleo' I am having challenge accessing them, they all appear blurred'. Any help? Thanks.
